Here's a question for everyone. Would you save Troy's life if you had the chance to? As much of a jerk as he was, he did save Clementine from those walkers. So yeah, she'd be dead if it wasn't for him.
I remember right after finishing that episode the first thing I could think of was how much I was looking forward to complaining about how much of an asshat he was. In all honesty while my severe dislike for him isn't AS bad as it was back then he's by far my most disliked TTG TWD character, by a landslide for that matter.
I was trying to link it to the part where he tells lee to stop treating her like she is a little girl but something went wrong. that was my … morepoint.
troy could care less if she is a little girl or not. she is being an annoyance in his eyes and punishing her for it'
DIDN'T LIKE HIM. AS HUNCHMEN GO HE DIDN'T MAKE MUCH OF AN IMPRACT. CARVER MAKE A LOT MORE IMPRACT ON ME. HE SCREAD ME.
TROY YEAH, HE WAS ASSHOLE YES BUT WASN'T ANYMORE THEN THAT. - SORRY FOR CAPS LOCK KEYBOARD TROUBLES.

A scrapped idea of the game included Troy sexually molesting Jane on several occasions, explaining why she shot him in the dick, and why he had agreed to help Jane get out of the pen. That would've made him an even bigger of an jackass.
it's terrible the same. child it's child. and they week and Helpless against adults. Child abuse, Clementine helpless against Troy. Not defending herself, she could abuse her until she dies. She was afraid ... for me all the children the same, this defenseless child abuse!
To be fair, he only smacked Clementine with the assault rifle because she was running toward Carver, which would've ended up with her hurting the leader of the community. It's not nice that he did it, but he didn't do it for no reason.

Yeah I mean you ever say this and people just jump up and say that your blaming her or whatever but at the end of the day she gets hit because she is causing trouble. Its pretty harsh but that was the one thing I liked about the captured part, you had to play smart. Clementine never got hit in my game.

also troy could have just left clem to die by walkers but nope he saved her. sure he works for a corrupt man who rules his cumminity with an iron fist and is kinda insane. but in reality he is just trying to keep order and doing his job as a guard.
I also wonder what players expect to do when they reach Carver and Kenny. Punch the fist son of a bitch the see, take his gun and use it to shoot the next son of a bitch they see? Kill Carver with the fists of an eleven-year-old? Help Kenny by tending to his wounds, all while evading Troy and Tavia, and eventually the test of the guards? Most players didn't even take a second to think, and helping Carlos stop Sarita from getting herself hurt turned out to be the right choice.

Well I'm not sure thats all true.
Though to be fair I'm guessing like if clementine herself chose to run to kenny she also didnt really know what she would do. Plus given her season2 abilities she could have probably done all that and more if theyd let her

I'm counting that as the right decision because it ended with the least number of hurt people and it didn't reinforce the idea that Troy was a complete ass.
Clementine… that's true, she probably didn't think either. It was likely an impulse reaction in order to help. Bad idea.
A nice little detail I noticed is that Carlos asked Troy to do something while he was restraining Sarita. It might not seem like much, but it helps show that they had interacted before the cabin group left.

I wouldn't save him but I don't think he deserves to die like that.

I would. I even tried to stop Kenny from killing Carver.
it does not matter if she is a little girl.
look at sarah that's what would have happened if clem was still treated like a kid.

No not spooky. I like ghosts.

if we got a better clue of that scrapped idea Troy's character would have more of an impact on the player.
If Troy had hit the baby would get upset huh ?! So that's it, hitting each child's terrible!
there is a difference between a week old new born that can't defend itself and an 11 year old that can.
