Should Season 3 have a proper/traditional opening sequence?
After seeing the opening sequences for Tales From The Borderlands and for The Walking Dead: Michonne, how do you feel about this being incorporated into Season 3? I've see some good one's over the past couple of years. One in particular used one of the Anadel songs (if I can find it, I'll post it). What do you guys think? Is the regular title card fade-in-fade-out good enough, or should TellTale experiment with this idea?

I'd welcome the idea. TT have proven that they can get pretty creative with their openings thanks to the games you've mentioned and they have great taste in music. If it's that cinematic touch they're going for, then this could be a good start.

I'd love an opening sequence for TWD, same as they did with TWAU, GoT, TftB and Michonne!
That's one of the one's I've seen that I liked. I'm still trying to find the original one I was looking for.
Whenever I see this, I get the urge to replay season one.
I've said something similar in another thread, but I like the way it's been done over the two seasons. Yeah the intros have been amazing for TFTBL, Michonne, and TWAU, but TWD never felt, to me, like a series that needed it. It may work for something like TFTBL, but not this. I've always preferred the opening with the eerie music in the background, the text coming up and saying, "Telltale Game presents...in association with Skybound Entertainment," and having The Walking Dead appear. It's simple, to the point, and it gets us into the episode faster. And much like what Poogers says below me, the openings set the tone. TWAU set up the noir tone of the series, the musical intros in Tales set a particular tone, either for something that just happened or something yet to come. The openings that the main two seasons of TWD use provides a sense of hopelessness, which has been a major theme found in all forms of TWD, it establishes the harshness of the world in which the characters live better than any musical opening could. So it's not only great through its simplicity, but establishes the tone and theme of the series.
Well, I kinda feel like ever sense Tales did the really big and different cinematic openings, Telltale has been going "Wowza! Let's do that for all our series!" I mean, it worked for Michonne, and we don't know if its only get one really big opening cinematic, but similar to Wolf Among Us and its opening, it set up a mood and stayed the same, Wolf set the noir and dark world, and Walking Dead's Season 1 and Season 2 intro of just having "The Walking Dead" felt correct for the theme of hopelessness and loss.
I honestly wouldn't mind an opening sequence, I've enjoyed the openings for all the other games but at the same time I wouldn't mind if they stuck to Seasons 1 & 2 and chose not to add an opening(I personally enjoyed how they just through you into the game and didn't have an opening that you have to watch in order to continue with the story but at the same time I loved the way they did the openings, conflicted xD)
While the openings from Tales from the Borderlands were fantastic I don't think something so extravagant is necessary for TWD. As mentioned already, I think the way they did the openings for S1 and S2 actually was perfect to set the dark tone for the games.
I like the simple short and simple openings for Season 1 and 2, so I'd prefer if they stuck with that for the third one. But for spin offs like Michonne or any of their other games, I wouldn't mind them having these really cool intros.
I could go either way, but I love adding new songs everytime I hear one in a Telltale opening.
While I do like the Michonne opening, I don't think Season 3 should get some super-stylised opening. Alhough, I could get behind this! It's a good type of tone for the game.
I feel ya. Many of the songs on my phone have been introduced to me by Telltale. They really know good music.
