Can Someone From TellTale Please Respond As To Why Epi 2 is Not Working/Downloading for PC/Steam?

edited March 2016 in The Walking Dead

A lot of us have been trying to get that episode to download but it will not. It just says "coming soon". I even uninstalled mine and reinstalled it, and it still doesn't work. I also checked my settings to make sure everything is in order. I have never had this issue with any of the other TWD games and episodes as they became available. Can someone please look into this and respond in some professional capacity as to what is going on and when/if will be fixed?

UPDATE: Ok so I sent an email to their support team and got a response. Here is what we need to do:

1) Open Steam first, let it download whatever it needs to download and then

2) launch the game.

In the past, when I just opened the game, it would communicate with their server and automatically download the next episode. Now it seems as though you have to get into Steam first (while the game is closed) and let it download new content. Close it and then re-open the Game, at which point it will then show you a new episode is avaialble and you can download it.

As I said, I dont recall ever doing this 2 step process. But apparently I do, because now it is working.

  • Please.

  • Telltale? hello???

  • Yes!! Please, I want answers! I posted a discussion about the same thing and now it's not to be found ?? What's going on here?

  • I'm really upset by this lack of communication and professionalism. You have countless customers' money and no one will respond as to what the issue is or even that an issue exists at all.

It's now 11:30am EDT on March 30 and my Mac still says Episode 2 is "Coming Soon." This same exact problem happened a couple of years ago with one of TWD episodes. If you don't know what the issue is or don't have an ETA, at least have the courtesy to acknowledge that there is a problem. I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling totally taken advantage of as a consumer.

  • They don´t give a f*** about us......no Infos.
On Twitter they only Support Minecraft for Xbox.......

They have to hire someone for this Stuff......called Community Manager or a Social Media Manager.
Something like that would be very helpful for both Sites.

Sadly, I think they already have a community manager. And yet this shit happens.

  • Say what you will about Bioware, but they don't go this long with a big technical issue without addressing their fans at all.

    Take notes telltale.

  • Apparently so. Make episodes half as long, stop paying attention to release difficulties, profit.

After everyone's already bought the season on their website, of course.

  • Telltale be like:

  • It's a real shame that this happened. It's got to be affecting so many people outside of this community, too.

  • that's fine. well you buy them from the tell tale site, you don't need a client to download them. it downloads as an .exe then it installs like a regular program.

I have and they replied they fixing now.

  • So, Telltale responded that they are working on fixing it so people who bought the game directly from Telltale as a separate program can access Episode 2? I have a Mac and bought the game directly, and like others here, the episode says "Coming Soon" and still cannot play.
