same here and I am on pc. Please release some into tell tale, is this a glitch? we need a patch for this
I have a mac, and it still says coming soon under episodes in the game. This sucks lol
I'm on mac + ttg, it's not working for me either. This game has actually been nothing but problems and glitches for me since the beginning lol.
Ditto -- I have a Mac and can't "unlock" Episode 2, either. Has anyone heard from Telltale about this issue?
I've emailed them as well but no response sighs
I'm on mac too. Nothing here.
still not available.
Same here. Telltale, time to respond.
It's now 2 days since release and I can't access Episode 2 on my Mac. I don't use Steam or anything else - I just open the game from my desktop and it still says "Purchased" and "Coming Soon."
What really galls me is that no one has even bothered to respond to acknowledge that there is a problem or even that there may be a problem and that someone is looking into it. It gives the distinct impression that no one at TTG either knows or cares that there are those of us who paid the same money as everyone else for a season pass and now can't download or play the new episode until days after others. It's amazing that there are countless reviews and spoiler threads now and yet not one (as far as I can tell) thread addressing an issue for Mac users who can't even download, let alone play and reflect upon, this episode.
I'm done giving my business to Telltale and being treated like my money is somehow not as good as everyone else's. After releasing so many other episodic games, the kinks should be worked out by now (or, at the very least, admit there's a problem and do your best to fix it). I hope someone from Telltale reads this and realizes how incredibly disrespectful they have been to us. I'm disappointed to see the foul language used by other users when describing their frustration, but I can't say that I blame them - being ignored is incredibly hurtful and disrespectful, both as a paying customer and a fellow human being.
Same problem here. I'm starting to see a pattern here, which I find incredibly irritating. Not sure if it's the fact that I'm a mac user or if it goes for all platforms, but this happened with Iron From Ice as well - every single episode. It takes less than a minute to briefly explain what the problem is, so I don't get the unresponsiveness from TTG.
Everyone should tweet the "creative communications managers" @jobjstauffer and @lauraperusco asking about this issue, we need an answer at the very least.
you gonna be okay?
seriously though, i'm on ps4 and it just came out today. look, i've been where you are, i'm a big telltale fan and i used to hit the roof when episodes were late to be released (for other games, the game of thrones last episode wait got to me and so did borderlands), but honestly, being upset never solves anything, neither does posting (and to be honest, i was a little embarrassed to have done that when i calmed down later, like, how old am i? too old to be getting so worked up, that's for sure. but, like a lot of ps players, i've got a victim complex). they'll just do what their doing until it hurts business, which, for all our complaints, hasn't happened yet. as soon as the episodes come out, all tends to be forgiven, for examples, see any waiting thread in this community.
i don't know, i say give them a break, its not like their sitting in a room talking about how to mess with their fans and laughing maniacally as the posts and vague threats (over a game, mind) mount up (i'm not talking about you, but the level of hostility from others over this stuff is too much). we gamer's are too emotional, i find, myself included, we could all maybe do a bit of growing up and realize our personal schedule isn't what their aiming for, i mean, its probably not easy to produce these episodes in two month windows, so delays are to be expected, no matter projections, i mean that's why every episodes release date isn't really confirmed until about a week beforehand, and no one should have to tell us that, its common sense, welcome to episodic games.
things happen, bugs appear, a manager's got a personal crisis, whatever, doesn't mean they don't care or that they hate us, that's silly, we're just customers, their just a company, that's the extent of our relationship, they don't owe us anything, no matter how personal we take everything or feel entitled, we're not, no one is. make peace with that. it's just a game, after all. trust me, its better just to mellow out about this stuff, its not that big a deal, their not going to suddenly announce they wont release it and tell us 'we've always loved disrespecting you, we thrive on your petulance and impatience'. like, you feel 'hurt' as a 'human being', over this? really? come on.
as for the lack of responses, well, pick an industry where that doesn't happen. its irritating, sure, but whatever, there's other things to do other than stress over 90-120 minutes of gameplay. there's other games. there's also other things in general...life is strange is good, and dontnod are never off twitter.
They actually do owe us at least a response or any sort of acknowledgement; you have to remember that we did pay for the entire season. I'm not really saying that games should be released perfect, but my personal experience with this mini-season has been pretty bad---Mac platform had delays with the first episode as well, the game was buggy (often to the point where the game was far from enjoyable). To top it off with the fact that Telltale has also taken up many more projects simultaneously this year, it poses the question of whether or not many of these problems could've been avoided.
whatever, i tried, you have a nice day. enjoy complaining with no result.
The episode is downloadable by now …
Hi cglen,
I appreciate your reply to my message above, and I do see your point. But I must respectfully disagree with you. And yes, I'm fine.
The bottom line for me is that this isn't the first time this has happened and the core issue is the lack of communication. Everyone paid for the same game and expected it to be released on the indicated date unless told otherwise. A delay would be disappointing, but we all know that delays can't always be avoided.
With that said, my issue is that this is the second time for me dealing with the same problem and neither time did I get a response from Customer Support or even a forum post indicating that a problem was even acknowledged. This is tantamount to taking your car to a mechanic, paying a deposit, and being told to pick it up on Friday, but on Monday it still isn't ready and no one will return your phone calls asking why there is a delay. If someone would just communicate with you, you wouldn't necessarily be so upset, but being ignored just makes the problem worse.
Finally, I understand that things come up and unexpected things happen. However, that doesn't excuse the rest of us in the real world from our responsibilities or promises. If we can't fulfill something we've stated we'll do, then it falls upon us to notify others, apologize, and try to find a solution. A simple email response from TTG or a post, tweet, etc. telling us Mac users that they were working on it would have gone a long way. It's about respect and courtesy, and TTG has failed in that regard for me twice now. Yes, it's just a video game, but I still expect people to hold up their end of the bargain or at least be honest with me when they can't, not ignore me and hope I'll go away.
well we disagree, that's true, but i gotta say your polite about it, more than i was, anyway. so, sorry if i sounded a bit overly snarky.
Guys email tell tale's support team. I did so and replyed to me in 30 mins in next hour episode 2 was downloadable and runs smoothly.
Guys email tell tale's support team. I did so yesterday and they replied to me in 30 mins and in next hour episode 2 was downloadable and runs smoothly.
I got support really quickly thank you very much tell tale games.
Actually, I did. They took two days to get back to me saying that the Mac version actually wasn't released at the time but it should have been released today.
oh that sucks. you could email the support team again
