Not Cutting The Bite

Is the dialogue with Kenny about Sarita's arm bugged? I chose not to cut it since I assumed she would just faint and get devoured by walkers, but at the park Kenny accused me of murdering her? It doesn't make sense that he would think Clementine caused her to get bitten or killed her by not amputating her arm (not a valid reason to accuse people of murdering someone) as he wasn't even present for that choice and didn't get to see how it happened. Even Clementine can't defend herself about her death. At first I thought the game simply got my choice wrong but her arm was still there. Is it bugged or just a nonsensical dialogue tree?

  • Kenny is just lashing out at Clem because he is an unstable jerk.

  • Kenny gets mad at you no matter what you do, he's just looking for someone to blame since he can't accept Sarita's death.

  • The only situation that makes sense to me would be that he blamed Clem for letting Sarita get bit—he never knew that they weren't together in the herd, and he just assumed that they were given that he finds both of them together. I agree that he shouldn't have, although things should've definitely been explained.

At some point, most games will have relied on misunderstandings in order to advance the plot. We've got plenty on the Michonne Miniseries, if you like!

  • It is ridiculous that he would expect an eleven year old to protect his girlfriend for him, but then again I wouldn't put it past him -or any of the Season 2 characters for that matter.-

So I guess it is a nonsensical dialogue tree designed to advance the plot. Thanks a lot for the reply!

  • I suppose it is the most reasonable explanation. I am glad that my game isn't bugged though.

Unfortunately, episode 4 has a serious case of railroading, which partly plays into why it hasn't gotten the best ratings, as you might have seen. They kinda dropped the ball when it came to choices, or at least when it came to the illusion of choice.
