"I'm Negan."

edited April 2016 in The Walking Dead

" You killed a whole number of my men, do you have any idea how cool that is?"

So for the first time, TV viewers like myself were introduced to Negan. I have to admit, and that while in some respects the guy scared the shit out of me, he also was very charismatic. Even though he was giving a totally psychotic speech, his charisma - his presence was so powerful, that I couldn't help but feel intrigued by him. He had a very commanding presence, the other natural ease about him, that is both at admirable, and also very unsettling, given the situation at hand.

Another thing that helps give him the presence that he had, was the fact that he dresses and grooms himself well. that is also something that will add to a person's presence, it makes them be taken more seriously when they are speaking. I would have to say in all honesty that this guy, Negan, is probably one of the most chrasimatic, best dressed villains, the show has ever had. I would say, that Negan has probably got more presence, and better clothing style, then the Governor ever did.

And, his voice was so chilly. The Governor, while he had a good speaking voice, and knew how to sound menacing, he seem to always be on the edge, like you he was about ready to explode. Where is Negan on the other hand you don't get that. When you see him on screen, you get a guy who is totally in control of himself, or sure seems to be anyway.

This was the first time ever since the series began, that I have ever seen Rick that terrified.
And if Rick - a killer and a man who has committed psychotic actions himself - was scared to death of Negan - than you know that Negan is even more dangerous than Rick is.

I think Negan is gonna be one hell of an addition to the cast, and we are gonna see some great stores in later episodes due to him.
What do think?
And incidentally, is it just me, or does the actor who is playing Negan look eerily similar to Robert Downey Jr?
