The Seven Faces of God: Telltale's Game of Thrones Edition

edited April 2016 in Game Of Thrones

So I've seen people do this for the books and show, where you take characters from the story and pick which face of the seven gods their personality and role corresponds to the best.

Here's an example:

The Father - Eddard

The Mother - Catelyn

The Warrior - Robb

The Maiden - Sansa

The Crone - Bran

The Smith - Rickon (?)

The Stranger - Arya

I was Curious what people thought about the characters in the game, or specifically the Forresters.

Here is the lyrics of "Song of the Seven." Which describe each face of god and their role. Use this to help you decide which characters correspond to each god.

The Song of the Seven

George R.R. Martin,

The Father's face is stern and strong,

he sits and judges right from wrong.

He weighs our lives, the short and long,

and loves the little children

The Mother gives the gift of life,

and watches over every wife.

Her gentle smile ends all strife,

and she loves her little children

The Warrior stands before the foe,

protecting us where e'er we go.

With sword and shield and spear and bow,

he guards the little children.

The Crone is very wise and old,

and sees our fates as they unfold.

She lifts her lamp of shining gold

to lead the little children.

The Smith, he labors day and night,

to put the world of men to right.

With hammer, plow, and fire bright,

he builds for little children.

The Maiden dances through the sky,

she lives in every lover's sigh.

Her smiles teach the birds to fly,

and gives dreams to little children.

The Seven Gods who made us all,

are listening if we should call.

So close your eyes, you shall not fall,

they see you, little children.

Just close your eyes, you shall not fall,

they see you, little children.

Here's my interpretation:

Father- Gregor

Mother- Elissa

Warrior- Asher/Rodrik (Torn between the two)

Crone- Duncan

Smith- Ethan

Maiden-Talia

Stranger-Ludd

Let me hear what you good people think.

hehe, I'm "good people." Well here's my interpretation:

    • The Father: Gregor Forrester (It's pretty self-explanatory)
    • The Mother: Elissa (Also, pretty self-explanatory)
    • The Warrior: Rodrik & Asher (they both most closely embody the strength of their house, especially where battle is concerned)
    • The Crone: Ethan (Duncan also works well... Ethan just fits nicely into the ideals of wisdom, I think)
    • The Maiden: Ryon (He's the most pure and innocent member of the house, so it seems fitting)
    • The Smith: IDK. The entire house? (Craftmanship e.g. Ironwood cultivation works pretty well)
    • The Stranger: Ludd Whitehill (he represents danger and death for the house, especially in terms of being an external force, so I agree with this one)
  • hehe, I'm "good people."

Actually, I meant actual good people, not scum of the Earth such as you.

    Sorry if I offended m8.

  • Oooool interesting. Okay; I'll write these, from Episode 1.

    1. Gregor is the Father. Obviously.

    2. Elissa is the Mother. Obviously.

    3. Rodrik is the warrior; a soldier, raised from birth to lead his house.

    4. The Crone: The Maester. It just makes sense.

    5. The Maiden: Talia. She's pretty innocent.

    6. The Smith: Ryon. He made his own toy soldiers, and a sword.

    7. The Stranger: Asher. Because he's been exiled for years, and is living in a far-off, alien land.
