PS3 vs PS4 Save Options

I have completed WD S1, 400 Days, and S2 on ps3. I am going to start The Michonne series and I am aware it is a stand alone. But I own a PS4 now and am curious if I should stick with PS3 or jump to PS4. My fear is having saves on two different platforms with Season 3 comes out. Any suggestions? Should I keep sticking with PS3 or will telltale have a way to import all the saves over to PS4 when season 3 hits?

If I were you, I'd rebuy Season 1 & 2 for PS4. PS3 is less and less important to Telltale, I don't even want to know what kind of shit show it will be when Season 3 hits. If you don't want to rebuy, then you should buy Season 3 on PS3, but at your own risk. I think they're working on a cloud save system, but who knows when that it done, or if it will even support save files from older games.

I doubt there will be a way to import saves from PS3 to PS4. They even talked about it before the release of S2, but then never brought it up again.

  • when I switched systems from 3 to 4 all my DLC for recent stuff came over for free. and S2 was the Playstation Plus Freebie that month so I made out well.

  • I don't think Telltale will be importing saves from one console to the next. However I did re-buy Season One and Two on PS4 awhile back and they were far better on it than the PS3 version. I'd strongly recommend changing over to them.

  • Kevin Bruner did say,

“We’ve got a strategy to help Season 3 players…collect all their data from the previous games. We didn’t have the cloud services in Season 1 that we have now, so we’re going to have a solution for everybody that we’re not talking about yet.”

    So there is hope.
