Chris didn't say that to Travis, he said it to Nick before he saw anyone on the boat. I didn't see him cutting his hand though. It seemed… more like the chat with Madison changed his mind. Lord_EAA is gonna love this , but madison's argument about a loved one giving mercy really touched a chord with Chris and put it in a different light.
I agree , though i think Daniel also fits into that section. Already surviving an 'apocalypse' and knowing what it takes to he seems like Rick and the group if Alexandria just broke down.
Strand is undoubtedly the best character to come out of this show so far
And Nick
Just two very interesting, unique, and strong personalities, and it's even better that they both share an equally interesting dynamic
There what a few weeks into the disaster? The fact there are already pillaging psychopaths is a bit weird as it is, I dont think you can fault for them for considering others
I don't think I've been that pissed off by a character from any Walking Dead property like I have with Alicia. Seriously? She gives up all this info to a random guy she hasn't even seen in person? The second a guy shows up she starts flirting with them. Didn't your boyfriend die like a week before?
Other than that I thought it was a solid episode. I fear for the lives of every character pretty much, especially since none of them are pre-existing characters.
Positives
* Nick is awesome
* Daniel and Strand are interesting
* Alicia has good potential
* Love that they are still making them a… moreppear like villans
Side notes
/ Travis and Maddy are okay nothing special
/ Can Nick change his clothes?
Negatives
* Chris needs to be thrown overboard
* I really hope this boat doesnt become another farm (though it seems likely)
* Ophelia was just sort of there
Am I the only one who instantly disliked Daniel for proposing to overthrow Strand? I can understand that he is grieving, but that doesn't make it any less morally-wrong. Daniel should be grateful that he let him and his daughter into his goddamn boat.
I always thought people overexaggerated that, as if they never did anything but sit around peeling potatoes. Fans cant seem to stand them actually trying to settle somewhere like normal people would do.
Are people going to start complaining about them being on the boat every week? ::sigh::
Well, its a reasonable complaint....A few episodes sure but the farm plot dragged on way too long

The first ep was really slow but I think it doesn't do the rest of the series justice, in my opinion it picked up pace come Episode 2. Like Lord_EAA said, no amazing episodes, but there have been enjoyable ones.
From my experience, I watched the series as a marathon and it didn't feel as slow as what a week-by-week viewing does. I'd give Ep2 a try, maybe 3, they're a lot better than the 1st

nice
First of all, I wasn't complaining. I'm stating that they think the boat is going to be a safe haven when it's actually not.
God dammit, Alicia! She's such a fucking idiot. If they end up getting attacked I hope she dies. She's now my least favorite character on this show.
If you listen closely he says"Hi im Randall".*Xfiles theme
Yep. It was a good talk.
He probably will. But more to the dark and survivalist than comic wittysisms.

Okay. Its just when people usually say "season two's the farm", thats usually been where they went with it.
Give her a break, she didnt know.
keep strand alive forever and nick and i'm sold. kill the mom character

I watched season 1 episode 1. Never watched the rest. Is it worth catching up with season 1 and this episode?

At the moment there are some good eps. Nothing amazing yet but were getting there.
Strand is like putting Kenny and Abraham into a blender. I love him.

Awesome episode, was worried the boat would get a little boring, but it's actually exciting.
"You die on water, you die on land. You gotta die somewhere." Very interested to see if Jack was apart of that slaughter. Oh yeah, Alicia is so dumb.

He seems morally flexible, to quote Mike Ehrmantraut.
