What would be, your perfect season 3.

Which characters would, you like to see and who would you want as the protagonist.
What kind of story-line would you like, and which kind of choices would you want to see.

So lets, all be a bit creative, and make up your own perfect season 3.

I would personally, want Samantha as the protagonist, i would like to see her her youngest brother and possibly Paige.
Get seperated from Michonne, in the next episode so season 3 will start of as her story.

By having Samantha taking care of her little brother, we would be able to recreate a similar, situation as we had with Lee, in season 1 in which he needed to take care for Clementine.

And i think that is a good thing to have in Season 3 again it makes for an intressting story.

As for the other characters i would like, to see again are Lilly, she was one of the reasons season 1 was such a great game, to me and i would love to see her return in the next game.
Also, i would love to see the 400-days characters again, and have Samantha meet up with them and join their group.

As for the antagonist, i would want it to be Nate, he would make for an intressting villain, he could have met up with other like-minded individuals and be the best villain telltale ever created.

Which choices i would want are those, like with Carley and Doug which person would you save, and let that have a huge impact on the story.
Also i would like to see, again that your actions truelly have an affect on people, like they did it in Season 1, that what you say or do, really make the other characters interact diffrent with you.
Like some would be your friends, but others willbe your worst enemies.

Anyway this would be my perfect Season 3, i would like to see all the diffrent ideas you all have for your own perfect season 3.

  • I love Clem. But Sam and her brothers are really interesting. Sam's family have a lot of potential.

I know we just met the family recently but i love them. I just wish Greg survived...

If we play with Clementine in S3 (the obvious protagonist since SHE IS TELLTALE TWD) I really hope we'll meet Sam's family

  • Clementine, Kenny, Mike, AJ and Samantha from Michonne in a 2 and a half hour per episode season 3 that releases monthly... on timely.

  • I thought about it for a Long Time And i came to the conclusion, that Season 3 will have a Completely New Protagonist. With a completed different personality. I actually thought about someone with the Look And personality of "John Luther" from the BBC Series "Luther". He is Kinda Cold Blooded, But still trustable At the same Time. He cares for "His" People. At the end of the Season He would meet Clementine under some sort of "War" circumstance between His People & the people clementine is with. Clementine would Be around 13-14 years old. That would Be Pretty interesting.

A new protagonist with an L name like Lee/Luke let's call him Liam. Since we are mixing up with races, let's make him an Asian. He will be playable in the Wellington Route, he will travel with an older brother (Evan) and younger sister (Emma). He'll meet up with various survivors such as the 400 days characters and will eventually meet up with Kenny after almost a year of surviving leaving Clementine. Kenny will have more hair than in Season 2 and will attempt to attack Liam but sees his Emma and reminisces Clementine. The two join together after common interest of fishing and Liam tells Kenny he heard of Wellington in which Kenny tells him there is no way they would take them. They get attacked by bandits and attempt to flee, being close by to Wellington, Kenny agrees to head back to see if they have room for them. They hide from a walker horde on the way and the bandits are closing in killing everything in sight. As they are closing in to Wellington, the horde attack and grab Evan and the bandits are gaining on Emma. He must make a decision to kill the walkers and help his brother or kill the bandit and help his sister. Kenny would tell him he would go to help the other. Once a decision is made Liam saves whoever he chooses and Kenny gets shot in the leg running to help and the bandits end up shooting wildly.

The episode ends. Similar to Season 2 Episode 4 ending except more than 1 person dies

If he saved his brother, he will make episode 3 easier by preventing you from getting killed by walkers from a failed quick time event before ultimately dying at the last quick time event as a sacrifice. Losing his sister increases dialogue options with Clementine once they arrive in Wellington since she reminds him of her.

If he saved his sister, she will become friends with Clementine and Clementine can help her fight and shoot and give her advice. His sister will then help her shoot soldiers in episode 4 before getting shot herself. Losing his brother increases his interactions with Kenny or other older characters he sees as a guardian figure.

Kenny getting shot prevents Telltale to animate a lot of his scenes as he is injured and they tend to ignore determinant characters in terms of story.

Other playthroughs that start off with Clementine, Clementine and Jane, or Clementine and Kenny would have different introductions. Until they meet up with L halfway through the episode and the story is similar and basically converge to one in episode 2. Jane would get shot if she was there in the decison.

His last name is going to be Lee or Li and this causes Clementine to remember Lee Everett and occasionally remembers her guardian.

The later episodes would alternate with Liam and Clementine to mix up play styles but however you interact with eachother would influence their decisions when playing the opposite character.

  • Clementine as the protagonist is the most important part. Regardless of the ending she will end up at Wellington and one of the first things they will let you do is get rid of annoying AJ. Wellington is a big place, what if they did something different with S3 and it was a fairly big place to explore and there were even gasp side quests/stories?!

  • oh ur right well 12-13 as long as we get to play as clem i'm happy!!

  • Clem and Aj after a couple years, so we get a small version of season 1 with an trying to be a helper. Him asking questions about Alvin and (I think her name was) Rebecca (or something)

A setting of being at Wellington/Howes (they'd have to be interchangeable scenes) until it gets attacked and it all comes crashing down, causing Clem and aj to run. Whether you're with Kenny or Jane, they both should die in the first episode.

That whole scene will be gone if you went off on your own and instead you get a depressing stroll through memory lane with Aj, maybe a couple hallucinations of Lee and the past season main choices.

A return of either Christa, Molly or Lily. They all would be alone and talk about how they were not certain about Wellington, upon hearing what happened. If you come from Howes, they just tell you about what happened at Wellington.

The whole theme is finding good ppl to save even when you think it's not worth it. So for example the plot would be based around either wanting to build a community again or wanting to stay a lone wolf as groups may not have worked out well in the past.

While you face a threat of a Negan-esque leader in Nate leading his ppl to capture you and whoever he finds, you also have to deal with the acquainting of Tavia and her group, and wondering whether you should trust these ppl from the 400 days dlc. Tavia wants to go north to parts of Canada (don't hate me for not knowing where) where there are calls of a huge community with a safe haven for all, while Nate wants to take everyone south back to Florida where he plans to establish his own "safe haven"

By episode 5-6 almost everyone minor is dead and the group is wittled down to Tavia, Russell, Molly/Jane/Christa/etc, Clem, Aj, Vince and Nate as either a prisoner or friend (depending on your choices) and you are forced to either take Tavias advice or take Nates.

Go with Tavia and you find the safe haven mid battle. After helping a side (of your choosing) you can establish your own community with the ppl that are left. Though injured and low on supplies, they have a better reputation then Nates group and will follow their leader, Clem, you.

Go with Nate and he has to tie you up. Since he's the leader, him and Nate have to bring you back as their prisoners to his camp. Though they are pretty rough and blue collar, Nate gives a speech that reveals a change in him that brings a little peace and prosperity to the newly acquired soldiers. Though not a shining star like the Canadian group, they may not be the evil that's perceived.

But late in the finale you are given a secret choice with Molly/Jane/Christa to just run away from it all and be lone wolfs. This would leave it to just you three instead of a solid seven to start the community.

Everything you said will be used against you. The way you view your group, situations you face, foes you fight all depend on your choices in this game and the previous ones. Russell could be with Nate, against Nate, or maybe he agreed with Nate at some point which causes the character to have some connection to him even when they oppose.

  • No Clementine and better writing

  • I don't want it if it takes away from the main game, but I thought it could be cool and make the game longer and I'm hoping S3 is way longer than S2. They've been working on the game for awhile now and I thought they would have enough time for it, but if not oh well. I definitely do not want them adding any collect-a-thon stuff, lol.

  • First Off for a true season 3 it has to be Clem or people tied to her sorry a true continuation must have someone from season 1 or 2 and followed what happend

you can not have a season 3 with new characters, storyline, or places than you are not doing a continuation your doing a spin off or a reboot and dont use well they did true detective season 2 that way who cares what they say thats not a season 2 thats just complete crap

a continuation is with same characters and continuing their story on what happend

Sorry that just upsets me when people do what they want and call something a continuation when it follows nothing from what came before it

anyway back on point first and most important it must have and should play as Clem

second it should have Clem trying to take care of AJ whether he lives or dies where ever your at whether its at Wellington or at Carvers place
or where ever you end up but must have the choice you made as well

Also not only should the big choices matter so should the little things for an example on little choices if you had her try drinking and smoking
in season 2 that should carry over to season 3 to whether she starts drinking and smoking or whether she became a drinker and a smoker
    in season 3
point is every choice made big or small that she does should carry over to the next part and should be put in to show how much she changes
in her life from one point to the next

also what should be in season 3 is her dealing with Bonnie, Mike, and Arvo whether she forgives them or kills them for me I would forgive
Bonnie, Mike would be iffy and Arvo I would just choose the option for Clem to kill Arvo

also what would be perfect would be to find out about what happend to Crista, Lilly, and all others who just come in and than go off screen
sadly we will never know about Molly for her we will just have to guess cause they said she wasnt coming back so we will just have
to imagine what becomes of her

  • Who knows? Maybe with their newly updated Engine, it Will Be much easier to develope These Kind of Things. If it makes sense within the Narrative? Why Not.

For it to fit well with this ongoing Clem story but flow not feel rushed. Maybe go to places they havent been story wise etc.

Make it fresh, refreshing. New and exciting characters, ones you feel connected too and want to make sure you can keep them alive!

More character exploring, harder and more impactful choices

Up to that point, I thought the post was a joke, but I ultimately ended up liking the story. Although I don't think such specific prediction has a big chance of becoming true, I would totally read it if it was a fan-fiction.

I want to state right now, I think that good fan-fiction is grossly underrated, as compared to original fiction.

  • This season should be about Clementine growing into a leader of sorts. Like how Lee was. The one people know they can rely on, bitch about their problems to, and take action when neccasary. Dosn't have to be just adults in her group either. Boss around some kids as well. She/we have been in enough groups to the know what and what not to do. We can build our group up to ride out the ZA or rely on only yourself and become the ultimate zombie survivor.

Here's a list of what I would like to see in Season 3:

    • No more character favoritism and bias. A character shouldn't steal the spotlight from another, shouldn't be forced to befriend with, and most certainly shouldn't be presented in a more favorable or desirable light. For instance, if Kenny and Jane are to return, then ensure that they don't take up too much screen-time and allow other characters to stand out on their own.
    • No more demonizing characters for shock value, for disagreeing with the leading characters, or giving the audience a reason to hate them and liking another character, else the event would appear too far-fetched and manipulative. If a character is meant to be 'bad' or 'evil', then their actions needs to match up to their characterization, and their deception needs ample foreshadowing.
    • If Clementine is the leading character again, then the narrative needs to write her as a child as she is, and not as an adult. Stop having many adults relying on her for her advice and opinion and responsibilities, and instead have Clementine assert herself as a child survival who is trying to emulate as an adult survivor, while realistically showing how a child is not yet capable of performing feats or street-smarts that an adult can do.
    • Either cut out determinant characters, or actually have them survive and influence the narrative of the story or make a meaningful impact before dying in a more appropriate fashion. The audience are getting too savvy with how determinant characters having never lasted for longer than an episode or two, and how their deaths are left as afterthoughts.
    • Not every new character has to die. Too many characters dying in a span of a couple of episodes will leave the audience desensitized by the amount of deaths and leave them wondering why they should even care about anyone else besides the leading characters. On point, give the audience a reason to care for them by allowing them to choose who they want to talk to, learn their backstories, how they cope, and what their motivations are.
    • If there is a community, let the audience explore the area, otherwise the place will feel hollow and superficial. If there are people, let the audience talk to them, and allow them to learn of the community's story and the people who live there.
    • And finally, add more length to each episode to ensure that the pacing does not feel rushed. Allow the audience to take their time with the characters, the story, the drama, the horrors, the light-hearted moments, and so on.
  • Agreed with everything you said. Especially the "not every new character has to die" bit. It's really affected my enjoyment of the game (and the show for that matter).

I'd also like for more than a handful of people (new and old) to make it to the end for once. Death isn't the only plot device in the apocalypse.

  • Thanks, I've actually thought up an entire season based on this but I don't even know where to put the "fanfiction". It put it because it is a hypothetical perfect season. I tried to see how difficult it would be to make determinant characters relevant after determinant status. I wrote up a proper Ben/Nick who is relevant after potentially dying.

Basically everyone leaves Wellington since it would be boring to stay in a secure place without walkers. Which sucks since everyone in Wellington would potentially die or have to escape like in Howes.

And it would Be interesting to Discover, what Clem has been Doing for the passed year, If we Play As someone Else. It's like the Conversation between Luke & Clem in Season 2 Episode 1, where Clem tells Luke about Lee And all the Season 1 stuff. Only difference is, that WE are the one who doesn't Know the past.

  • I really appreciate it, @Lilly4Season3, but, to be honest, I'm not really expecting anything for Season 3. Perhaps more subtle details that reveal character backstory, as they have done in the Michonne Miniseries, and I also want the Wellington ending to be constructed carefully. I wish for that community to hold its ground longer than the others that we have seen. It could be due to the fact that I am—in the messy beginning of—writing post-apocalyptic original fiction, and the Village of Wellington is a key location.
