concerns and thoughts about Season 3

Okay, hey guys! Here are some things for which I am almost sure to happen in season 3:

  1. Clementine ** take part** in season three, does not know if she will be protagonist. (i think she's not).
  2. The time difference will be between 1-2 years (no more).
  3. Kenny and Jane will die, no matter which one of them you chose to keep alive.
  4. Clem will be 12 or 13 and AJ will be 1 or 2. (because the comics).
  5. I'm pretty sure (after Telltale said all seasons combined together.) characters that appear in the first season: Lily? Molly? Christa? And more, ** return**.
  6. I do not think Clementine be a hero again. She will take an important part, but we will be an older person, that will take care of Clem and AJ.
  7. Who will die? I hope Clementine will live, but I do not know. I have a feeling planned a dramatic and sad for Clementine. Sorry. AJ maybe dies.
  8. For those who chose to end Clementine alone with the baby: I think it is not good. 11-year-old girl with a baby? It's suicide. I do not believe that Clementine can care for the baby. So I think someone found Clementine situation is not good (almost died of starvation) and take care of her and the baby, this would be the character we play.
  9. And ... Lee come back! just kidding!
  10. Is Clementine be evil when she grows up?

What do you think about my thoughts?

  • 1)I think Clem will be player character in next seaon - at least I hope so. I don't see any other possible character that we can control and still be related to first season.
3)If there is leap over 1-3 years I'm more than sure that Kenny will die. I'm not so sure about Jane though.
5)I also have feeling that someone from season 1 will appear. World is small place - especially one that is filled with hordes of mindless zombies.
    7) I have suspicion that Clem and AJ will survive - however, there may be case when AJ will be kidnapped. That is an idea for story and also concept for taking additional burden from Clem's shoulders so the story has faster pace. If Clem will be player character she will not die(at least not till the end).
    8) I also think lone Clem was bad choice - but you know - fool's luck is common occurence.
    10) I believe it depends on us. But with some choice for Clem in season 2, she can already be easily considered evil in many cases by us - folks that did not expierience zombie apocalypse.

    Plot twist

These take place at least 1-2 months after the end of S2

    Kenny Ends:

Kenny canon dies because of whatever fucked up thing he thought was right. Clem ends up meeting up with a group of bandits because she was trying to steal some supplies. Clem still has the baby but a kid who was in the camp ends up helping Clem at her request. He ends up letting her out and she almost gets away but the baby starts crying. One of the bandits grabs her and she ends up stabbing him with a branch. Another bandit comes up and knocks Clem down. They are about to kill her when you hear a voice say "stop"(not loud or exerting). Everyone immediately stops and goes quiet. You see feet walking towards you and the camera pans up to see Lilly. The next episode opens with one of the guys still wanting to kill her. Lilly says "no one touches them" but the guy isn't really hearing that. You can see everyone getting nervous and Lilly turns to him and says "I get it". She seems like she is gonna walk away but ends up killing him and repeats "no one touches them".

From there Lilly takes you and the baby with her to her room/area. From there you get a lot of backstory of what happened to her when you either left her on the road or when she stole the van. This should be a defining moment for her character. Towards the end you learn that a group went to scavenge some supplies from some kind of warehouse. Lilly says she can go and while Clem is about to walk out Lilly says "I won't let anything harm us". Clem trust Lilly enough to actually let her watch after the baby. From there you are able to walk around the camp and talk to people and look at things. You see the kid that helped you along with the two people from the other end. Insert massive character development and immersion to make me feel certain things. Then you get word that a small herd of walkers on heading towards your camp. Insert pretty cool QTE battle with these dead assholes. But oh shit one of the QTE's was a false and Clem is about to die when someone shoots the walker. You turn and see Jane and you have that classic "say their name with surprised look on face" moment. The next episode would deal with how safe where they currently are actually is, the conflict between jane/clem/lilly, and pretty much episode 3 would be that mid season overly emotion episode.

I'd actually find it really cool dealing with these three characters having to work together and deal with the various issues they've come to have in the world they live in. Will TTG actually give that?...probably not but one can dream.

I was gonna write one that is really different but kinda the same if you actually stuck with Jane. Though, I just thought it would be pretty cool if something like this happened in general. Though, I do think both paths should be different but still involved with them meeting up and involve more of your choices impacting how players feel about you. As Lilly from the very short little moment they had that showed she actually cared about Clem in some regard. I think they missed a big mark on having some small details like lilly giving clem hair bands, giving her stuff to draw with, making sure she was always fed, or hell little scenes of them smiling at each other. They didn't give themselves a lot to bridge off of to reference back to concerning a lot of the characters. Or made what they did present so slight and quick that most didn't even realize what was happening.

    1. Clementine should be, She's too popular and loved not to include her in the next season, unless they decide to branch of into a completely different story. I'd say her being the secondary character to the Player character is where she's at her best only my opinion though.
    2. If they do any more time over, she will be starting to get older so like point 1, if it's longer then 1-2, she could be the player character as a teenager, but I agree with you on this one.
    3. Most likely yes, once a character becomes determinant, its pretty clear they will die shortly because they can stop writing storylines for them or just leave them in the back if they're kept alive like Ben or Nick until telltale decides to kill them off for good. I hope not but we will see.
    4. Yes, unless they skip longer.
    5. Lily is probably the best choice to return. She's from the comics, has a good reason to return, and it would be a big return as well. Christa, they seem to have just forgotten about, if she did die, it be nice to know if she escaped or not and Molly, Molly I'm afraid they only used her for the Crawford situation. It's a shame because she was a strong character and the players bonded with her in only half an episode. Shame telltale didn't keep her, she would've been good. Hopefully I am wrong and she does return somehow.
    6. If shes not the player character, she'll be a sidekick for the player character, taking care of AJ and being protected by the player character.
    7. Aj dying would be pretty cold but telltale could do it to pull some strings, I think if they decided to kill Clementine, it have to be the last season or have someone else take over but killing her off would be hard on the series seeing how so many people love her.
    8. Maybe that's how the new character arrives, I think it was bad though how telltale had so many endings, now they have to decide on what to do next. If they had just 1 or 2 endings, it be a lot easier.
    9. Would be nice wouldn't it (- :
    10. Depends on the way you played her and the way she was treated by Lee in season one. I doubt it, I couldn't see her being evil, unless they just made her evil with no explanation, they've done that in the past.
  • she's not be teen yet. she will be 12-13 for sure. for me ... teen is 14+

  • Probably.

I think they paint themselves in a corner where they have to progress that far because they have nothing else to build upon. So they gotta create something new.

  • I think it would've been a really interesting dynamic to have Jane and Lily before they had Kenny come back. The idea of trusting someone from before compared to this new person and since they aren't polar opposites the decisions and sides you must take are not as different but greatly effect the whole episode.

I'd honestly rather see Jane and Molly. Because compared to everyone else I thought that they're similar in non essential ways but they're differences would've made the game much harder to choose a side. While they're behavior may mirror each other you have to understand the intentions also.

  • Clem is probably my favorite character in the entire The Walking Dead universe, so she'd better be the protagonist.
Concerning a time leap, wouldn't another 2-3 year leap outpace what's going on in the comic? I don't think we need to anything other than a few months.

Beyond that, all I really want is to be able to put a bullet into Arvo.

  • Yeah when Arvo shot Clem in the shoulder I was like I hope he reaps what he sows. At first I felt bad for him when Kenny was beating the crap out of him, but after what he did to Clem that did it for me.

  • Same here.

I bet that in the beginning of Season 3, Clementine would had found a new group.

Anyone know if Kenny and Jane's voice actors have been seen near Telltale HQ? Heh.

    She's from the comics

If I am correct, Kirkman confirmed in a Letter Hacks that Lilly in the comics and Lilly in the game are two separate characters.

I do agree though, it would be nice to see her in season 3.

    1. I hope Clementine is the main character again there is just no point for a new character cause there is no one left to fit that and would make no sense for a new character and I would be very disappointed at this point if there was a different main character and than probably would refuse to play it

    2. it would be awkward if it was more than 1 or 2 years cause than we are going past the comics

    3. I hope not I hope we keep who we saved

    4. I agree like I said it would be weard if we had her older than that

    5. I don't totally agree with you here and I will say why Lilly could return so could Crista if she is alive but not Molly Telltale already mentioned she isn't coming back she only had the one time and done we will have to imagine what happened to Molly I mean they could change their minds but as far as I know at this moment telltale said they were not bringing Molly back so we unless otherwise I think we will have to imagine what happened to Molly whether she found a place for a happy ending or was killed off .

    6. I hope not at this point I don't want to play anyone but Clementine right now

    7. I hope no one dies in season 3 but that's unlikely someone will

    8. I hope not I don't want anyone raising her but I would not say no for her to pick up things from them

    9. that would be nice but we know that's not happening

    10. I hope not but who know what they are going to do with her and if she makes it that far to find out her future

  • Yeah I just meaning that she's originally from the comics. Not that he character is the same in both series.

It's a bit funny because seasons 1 and 2 were within the span of 3 years

EDIT: And I mean throughout the game it was 3 years
