Did any of you notice the real life refrece?

Daniel is tapping his chest playing a salsa beat. His actor Ruben Bladez is well know as one of the greatest salsa players of all time and is sometimes called the king of salsa.

  • I thought it was a pretty decwnd episode, they explained what happened on the West Coast, and I liked the perspective of the survivalist family and what happens when you go to an island like that.

  • I really enjoyed last nights episode. Some moments were well done, like the beginning. I liked how due to the new family being introduced it felt like this episode had a beginning, middle, and end compared to last week where they just sort of wandered around. We learned more about Strand, which makes me look forward to future episodes. They also brought up that the boat was shot up by military weapons, although I doubt it was the military itself. I loved seeing Nick interact with the kids. Chris learning how to slaughter things through the fence was pretty cool, I just hope that he doesn't turn into a maniac since he's already kind of bratty.

I knew those little kids weren't long for the show. Strand's "put it back where you found it" line was great. I know there are a lot of mixed opinions on the show, but this was definitely better than the first episode of season 2. I just really hope for the love of god that the characters become more developed because that's the thing that's kind of lacking right now.

  • They just had a reserve plan which was cleaner than a gunshot.

And the so-called reserve plan was executed before anyone was bitten. He had already given Willa the medicine when he caught Maddie, Travis and [insert woman's name here].

No, live with your family happily and when/if you get overrun then sure do that, Isnt that what everyone wants?. Rather than go out onto the

I picked it up as if the other boat was shot by one of Victor's friends, given that he has an assault rifle hidden and those seemed like assault rifle bullet holes. Of course, we know that Strand didn't do it.

  • No , the girl found the pills because she saw Nick rooting around for his next fix earlier. Why would he just give the little girl pills? If he wanted them to die together

  • Out of all people I'd think you'd like this episode. San Diego burned down. Most of the west coast destroyed.

And I think that nick and Alicia see themselves in the kids more than we'll understand for now

Wow, what a completely pointless episode. On the bright side, the chick from Flight 462 is going to appear next week, so that's good.

  • Is it me or does anyone want a Seth mini series next.

It's like the last of us 2.0 besides the chance of curing the disease.

But really great upgrade from last episode. Good to hear what happened to the west coast and to hear some perspective on why ppl think the world is "ending". Idk about you guys but strand doesn't seem as shady as Daniel seems to make him out to be. He could be the Aaron that leads them to his own Alexandria.

Or maybe he enslaves them as soon as they find what he's looking for. Who knows. So many possibilities. The hype is building.

For me the dialogue varies on which is worse. We had another "THIS IS HOW THE WORLD IS NOW" outburst

For me the main issue with fear is more that characters randomly walk up to another to talk about something random for 2 minutes and then leave. This was more apparent with the group on the boat

Both shows have the issue that people never talk about anything other than the current situation or some theoretical nonesense

Am I the only one who thinks that dialogue in Fear The Walking Dead is much cheesier than on The Walking Dead? "Yes, people who we can see!" Come on…

  • Granted that TWD is pretty cheesy itself. But I agree.

I mean maybe it has to do with the delivery but I feel they are just too straightforward. Maybe I'm just too into game of thrones and the cryptic manner in relaying a message.

I remember Carol had the line in the finale where she told the guy that "he doesn't get to not make a choice" and yada yada. though I agree and kinda like the line it sounded really cheesy

I like the philosophical insight that the original show provides, but I absolutely hate the cheesy speeches, so, looking at it that way, cheesy exchanges are a little better.

  • That's an interesting view, one which I think makes more sense, story-wise. I initially believed that he had given her a pill, and that he was coming downstairs to give the other kid one, but that doesn't really make sense since that kid was upstairs.

Then they walk backwards into the shadows. "Don't mind me. I'll just be going now."

  • They are too straight-forward, people don't usually talk like that, reciting facts. And when the show attempts to accentuate that they are humans with emotions, they appear dull instead, e.g. "it helps me understand you better," or cheesy, e.g. "yes, people who we can see!"

  • I usually do like slower, character focused episodes, but this one never got my attention. Other than learning about the West Coast and a little more about Strand, nothing major happened this episode.

  • it was an all right episode. Kind of like an episode of Star Trek, get off the ship see whats up, interact with some weird isolated group and leave empty handed, maybe a little wiser.

  • it wasn't cleaner than a gunshot, because it doesn't kill the brain. so the poor guy thought he was saving his family from becoming zombies but he wasn't. And even worse he had been hyping it up to the kids by calling them power pills or some such nonsense.

  • Could be. Good analysis.

me and my boy were talking and Strand seems like a gunrunner to us.

  • Why should he care if they become Zombies? The point is to avoid being eaten alive. The poison is better than a gun because they can all die together as opposed to one person having to shoot the others and then themself.

  • I'm not sure if I should just start a discussion but I have a couple theories on what I think his motive or better yet his plan is.

Or maybe he enslaves them as soon as they find what he's looking for. That escalated quickly.

  • Looking back if/when they reach season four, we'll remember this episode

This was a set up too much bigger things I believe. And let's also remember that at least they aren't looking for anyone's daughter for these last two episodes.

I usually do like slower, character focused episodes, but this one never got my attention. Other than learning about the West Coast and a little more about Strand, nothing major happened this episode.

  • they said they didn't want to become monsters, so if they all die together they all become monsters. besides that the parents would still have to watch the kids because the dose would react faster with the kids. and someone being poisoned doesn't just got sleep gently it usually involves a lot of vomiting to try to get the poison out(your body does that automaticaly). so like I said the poor guy was misguided.
