Fear The Walking Dead: Video Game Reference ?

Does the situation with Reed seem pretty familiar only to me ? Yup I'm talking about the similarities between this and Randall's situation from TWDM...he is a walker, sack over his head, his shirt is green as Randall's, his name starts with R...are all those coincidences or was the episode inspired by TellTale's TWDM Season Finale ?
What do you guys think ?

    It was filmed way before, and written down before also, so I think it's just a pure coincidence that Telltale chose to do something similiar.

    Also it happened in the comics, a person being a walker with a bag over their head to hide it. If it happened in Fear The Walking Dead [I haven't been watching] then it's more likely the comic source was the inspiration for it.
