The game can't remember my Season 1 choices for Season 2

I'm playing through TWD in preparation for Season 3, and I'm frustrated that the game can't seem to remember the little choices I made in Season 1 while playing Season 2. For example, in S1 E3 when you teach Clem to shoot, I told her to pull the trigger slowly, but the game seems to think I told her to hold her breath, because that's what Clem tells Sarah in S2 E2 when teaching her to shoot. It's little things like that that are breaking the immersion for me and driving me insane. Is this a common issue? Is there a specific cause? A workaround? I'm playing on PS3.

    I don't even remember those littles things :P You should just stop worrying about that

    I don't recall, but then I can see why you'd be angry because dialogue is the only thing changed by our choices in season 1
