A creative way to bring back Lee
I know a lot of you are about to say, "Lee can't come back, It'll ruin everything season 1 stood for." But please check out what I have to say before getting salty. Lol.
Alright, so after witnessing all the things Clementine has been through in season 1 & 2 and coupled with the guilt of getting Lee killed she probably still holds, you'd think that would wear on her psyche quite a bit considering her age. So I was thinking telltale could do something like the dream sequence in s2e5, but instead make Lee take the form of a hallucination that represents Clementines' conscious that makes an appearance after every major choice she makes. And judges her depending on how your Lee's was in s1. ( i.e. if your Lee was mostly paragon and your Clementine does something renegade he judges her harshly, and if she does something paragon he reassures her she did the right thing) I think this would be a good "meeting half way" choice as it would satisfy the people who want to see Lee again, while not stepping on the toes of the people who really loved the ending of s1. And also give Dave Fennoy some more work, Lol.
So what do you guys think?

I that would be a little tacky (no offense), as it would ruin some of the more down-to-earth and grounded nature of the drama. I think newer games after Season 1 should not use nostalgia of Season 1 as a crutch, and should focus on establishing their own stories instead.
I agree with the OP. They shouldn't take the time to develop new characters and continue exploiting the feels from season 1
Not a bad idea, but I say just let it be. The dream sequence was a good final nod to lee, but its time to move forward.
I can understand that.
I just a just thought it would be a pretty interesting concept in the fact that it would play on the idea toward the ending of s2e5 in the dream sequence that not all choices are that simple, and that what position you are in greatly changes your perspective on things as the player. Like for example, I find it kind of weird how most people in s1 when they were in Lee's(a grown man) shoes they were so protective of Clementine, but in s2 when playing as Clementine(a little girl) some people left Sarah(another child) to die and even in some cases saying she deserved it. Despite both being a burden to a certain degree. It would be pretty cool to see basically your pass self (Lee) judge you now(Clementine) on the decisions you make/made. All in all, it would show how the player making choices are not that simple and that hypocritical people can be when making them. But this would only be effective at the end of Clementine's story of course. But that's only my opinion.
Sarcasm. I'm going to like you.
And no I didn't mean this to be the whole premise of the remainder of Clementines' story, but at the end of it. It would be a pretty interesting to be judged on your choices you made through her story at the end of it. And if her story goes on for a few more seasons whats wrong being reminded of all the hardships and good times she went through.
Thanks for the comment.
Just wanted to share a idea I thought was interesting.
I don't know how many times I've seen that meme in this community.
At least you're unique, Lol.
You got it, bud.
Why not have Dave Fennoy play a new character and Clementine is reminded of Lee since they sound the same
Yeah, I can totally see a 8yo AJ with a deep Barry White-esque voice yelling "shit!".
And a teardrop immediately running down Clementines' face.
I'm sorry lmao.
I'm just tired of people asking Lee to come back. It gets kinda...old.
Sounds like an interesting idea, make it kind of like a star wars thing where Lee's Ghost gives Clementine advice just as Obi Wan did for Luke in Return of the Jedi.
It's cool.
Lol, I guess that subject is as old as the meme.
.
As much as I loved Lee, he should stay dead and gone. Clementine simply doesn't need Lee anymore- She's able to survive on her own because of the advice and training he gave her, and bringing him back, whether a hallucination or not, would just devalue what he had taught her.
I mean it could be interesting, probably better than Michonne's daughters.
I don't believe they'd be able to pull it off without it seeming like clutching on the feels of the first season. No offense, but I also didn't sympathize with Lee as much as I did with a lot of the other characters, such as Lilly, Jane, Michonne, Bonnie, Norma, and even Kenny. Other than the fact that I played Lee as a sympathetic and moral yet cautious survivor, there is nothing connecting me to his character, and I don't care for him. So, as you could assume, I'd very much rather opt for Clementine to hallucinate Christa and have her judge her based on her choices.
Nonetheless, I appreciate that you are thinking about new, creative ways in which we could encounter Lee in the game. You also seem like a cool person. Welcome to the forums!
Well, I guess it could pass, but I'd just do a hallucination for one moment during a stressful scene, only for nostalgia purposes. It's a good idea, but I'd rather have him stay dead. I am satisfied with his appearance in the S2 dream sequence. ,EDIT: And apparently you're new so welcome to the forums!
gasp! You take that back good sir!
(It's ok... "to each his own opinion.")
Since Lee was just of those self insert characters, I can see why some people couldn't connect with him. But I'd be lying is I said he wasn't my favorite character.
I really couldn't see this scenario working with any except Lee or maybe Kenny (and that's stretching it considering the controversy around Kenny's own judgement among players) so far, I'm not saying someone couldn't in the future. Just from a story telling perspective those two seem like the most qualified thus far, as nobody else has had much screen time with Clementine but them. So for me, it'd would be heard for me to get emotionally invested in the hypothetical scenario with a character who's had limited on screen interaction with her even though they spent two years together off screen, versus some whose spent time with her for only six months but has a whole season of interaction with Clementine on screen. It's sorta like the dream sequence, it would have probably made more since if were Clementines' parents giving her the advice but we get Lee, because vaguely we've seen absolutely no screen time with her and her parents even though they've known her for 8 years and not as emotionally invested in their relationship. But this only based on what's gone on so far and is liable to change and only my opinion.
Thanks, for the greetings! Wasn't sure what to think when I first joined, but everybody seems pretty chill.
Lol. Thanks for the comment it's appreciated.
Thanks for the welcome!
Yeah, I could one last sit down with hallucination Lee at the conclusion of Clementines' story as a good way to wrap up her tale.
Yeah... very creative. Even though the miniseries has hallucinations as well.
Can't people just forget Lee? He didn't have any character besides "I'm a criminal who's trying to make up for his crime" anyway.
The dream is good enough. I only thing that could bring lee back now is if they made a dlc of the 3 month timeskip from season 1( when we found mark in the airforce station)
It's time to let Lee go. A brief dream sequence or random memory wouldn't be out of place, but there is no need to have hallucinations or memories of Lee shadowing Clementine throughout the game. I'm more interested in her progression as a character. Let's see her using the knowledge and skills other characters imparted to her. For instance, does she take Walter's philosophy to heart or does she become more of a Jane? There are so many avenues to explore that don't involve Season 1 nostalgia.
More hallucinations would just be repeat of what happened in the Michonne game. That wasn't really a liked concept by a lot of people as it was a tad overused and if it were to come back, I can imagine people would start hating Lee lol. Maybe we'll see him in more of Clem's dreams, but that's as far as I would go.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Was that necessary?
I won't lie. It is an interesting idea however I feel the series has suffered from not letting go past events of S1. Plus the idea is similar to that of TFTB and Jacks hologram/ghost
No, but isn't it annoying that people kept making ideas for Lee to be alive?
No thanks. After Michonne I don't want anymore hallucinations.
Lee was and always will be my favourite character too don't worry. Great post, welcome to the forums.
I understand why you said it.
I just don't want you to get banned.
Eh, a hallucination of Lee would just make things worse, judging by how the hallucinations turned out in The Walking Dead: Michonne.
bringing back those top quality memes
I'm try but I can't ignore this. I think people should get Lee's death. Sure he was so special and loveable, but there is no way he is still alive after being bitten. This isn't Dying Light.
I never get bored of these.
He didn't say he wanted Lee to come back ALIVE, he said that Lee should come back as a form of hallucinations.
FTFY, Lee.
