Kinda funny for me i always picked the option that got her hurt or scar's not because i enjoyed it but because i fond myself thinking of her being an even better protagonists after growing threw such hard trials.She never lost her smile.

Seriously though, I hope it's optional to lose that finger. Kinda like the scar on her cheek in S2. I just can't stand to see her in pain like that.
I like the way you think. Those choices defenitly add a little something more awesome to the story. I just get some weird protective mentality when I play these games.

On the serious side though I don't think we'll actually find out why she ended up losing her finger. It probably happened at some point during the timeskip, could be wrong though. I hope I am actually.
Obviously we won't know what happened to her finger until later, but for now we can speculate. She could have lost it:
* purposefully (… morebeing bitten off)
* from an accident
* from infection
* on a job
and my least favourite but unfortunately possible
* from torture

Omg I just realized, remember in ep 1 s1 she said "ow my finger!" and she cut it? Maybe that has something to do with it..

Well, someone who bit Clem's finger fucking dead no matter what it is. I accept nothing to let him/her live.
True that. I understand if the removal of the finger was to save her life, but if the intent was to harm then I have no mercy for them.
(I will say the "being bitten off" part was more of an example, but it's also possible that it was purposefully cut off.)

Lose finger is determinant.
If we alone with AJ, we get attack by walkers and lose finger.
If we are with Kenny/Jane or stay in Wellington, we will not lose finger.
Or..
Clem's finger will get trap and she will amputate it. (Like Mike in Until Dawn.)
