What do you think would be the most effective way to end Clementine's story?
I've really liked the thought of having a sort of Clementine trilogy (Seasons 1. 2 and 3) for a while now and I think that the fact that we also control Javier this season supports this idea. It will help the audience attach to another character as they end Clementine's journey. But the way I would like this Season to end is with Clementine proving herself as the leader of a group of survivors, allowing the arch of her character to complete without actually ending it, as we will have seen her grow, learn and develop into a strong leader who we can feel comfortable leaving to support herself. I feel a goodbye to the character like this is better than killing her off, as we have been with her for three seasons and ending her arch by killing her would be kind of a let down.
My idea would be, after the events of Season 3 have unfolded, Clementine has proven herself as a leader and has a group to take care of, but Javier needs to go off and do some other things (not sure quite what he'd need to do since we don't know who he really is yet) as the player leaves with him, making him the main protagonist in Season 4. This would be effective as it would allow to player to feel satisfied with Clementine's story being over and happy to leave it there, knowing that she has become a strong person who doesn't need taking care of anymore as we go to follow this new person who we've grown attached to. I suppose it would be like a child leaving the nest sort of thing.
Anyway, that's the way I would leave her story off if it was up to me, as it would stop her character and stories from becoming boring, stale or repetitive and is a good transition to a new protagonist that we can be exited to see again. Not that I don't want to keep seeing Clem because I do! I just think this is how TellTale should do it
What do you think?

This
Now just imagine everyone this being Clem and everyone Clem lost.
a knife right through her heart
Boy, radiant with positivity. For me (as I have mentioned in a previous post): Clementine and a good group of survivors that have become her second family, finally find a community with a strong foundation, and is self sufficient in many ways for years to come. Clementine with AJ beside her and a couple of old and new acquaintances on a hilltop, looking out to the dawning of a new day. Clementine will look out and reminisce about the ones lost, especially Lee. Maybe at Clementine's request have a statue or a monument dedicated to Lee Everett, the man who was an inspiration in her life and be remembered for all time.
A scene with Clem as a grown woman, she has just given birth to her child, AJ who is now 11-12 hands her her baby and she names it Lee.
Something along those lines at least. If it is some awful tragic thing, I think the UN should step in and Sanction Telltale Games and Kirkman for being assholes.
Clem is in a room with this woman (an important character, a deuteragonist or tritagonist), and she is trying to contact with another group with a radio. Clem says it won't work... when they hear a male voice repeating "This is Eugene Porter calling out on the open air. Anyone out there?"
The screen goes black.
(ok this wound't be a way to end Clem's story, since she would be in the comics and the fans would claim for her to be an important character, so I think it would be a goog way to end the game story)

And Christa, too.
Because, you know.
She took care of her for two entire years.
Actually, scrap Lee's statue and bring Christa's.
Well, I hope Christa will last as long as Clementine. And I'm certain Clem will want something of a memento of Lee Everett, the one who's had an extreme profound effect in her life.
Strange, every message I've posted over the years always has the words, "I hope".
Maybe I just want my faith rewarded.
I'd like for her to have an ending that is "open-ended". I hope the last thing we see of her is alive and surviving, leaving our imaginations to decide her fate.
I don't think that the best way to handle a character that has 10 different versions of her is to put her in a non-cannon issue of the walking dead comics because the version that Kirkman would have to pick would have to act very ambitious to match the clem that everyone created and having a clem in the comics that has all her fingers would cause conflict if it was the "canon clem"
The only way that Clem can appear outside the game is if it is a Webisode because AMC could have all of the creative range of making this happen because she can come to life in a different media without conflicting with canon or the story.
She either dies saving Javier, or she survives but leaves Javier to die.
I'm thinking that maybe they're trapped in a building, trying to fight off walkers when they get separated. Clem fights through walkers to get to Javier when she sees him surrounded. Here she has two choices:
Clem turns away from Javier and escapes through a broken window/door as all of the walkers are focused on Javier.
A couple of days pass and Clem finds a small group of wandering survivors who invite her to come with them. Here Clem has the option to either go with them or go off by herself. Ending her story as the camera either follows her walking off in the opposite direction from them, or following behind them.
Clem runs into the middle of the group and helps fend them off long enough for Javier to recover and give them time to escape. While this happens a walkers grabs a hold of Clem and bites her, before Javier kills the walker and they escape the building.
Time passes with Clem and Javier when Clem suddenly collapses. A couple of days later Clem wakes back up and realises Javier has been carrying her. She tells him to put her down and she stumbles and falls against a wall, realising that she can't continue. This is where the last choice happens as Javier can either stop Clem from turning, or leave her to turn. The last thing Clem does is take off her hat and untie her hair as the sun rises and shines on them. The story ends as the camera focuses on Clem's hand holding her hat as she either drops it following a gunshot, or her fingers slowly let go of it until it drops to the ground.
