The finger isn't a big thing
Seriously, guys, everyone is crazy about Clem's missing finger but seriously, it's not like if someone cut her hand, leg, tongue or destroyed her freacking hat! It's probably a little detail to prove how evil the bad guys are.

I think its a big thing, her finger is gone.
How about I cut your finger off? It's okay dude, it's not a big thing, it's not like I'm cutting off your hand or leg.
I think people are just curious of how she is lost it.
It's not such a big thing in and of itself, no. It is a plot device. It's purpose is to make us wonder who, when, and how. It's not a big thing like "omgosh she's an amputee :'-( " it's more like "how did that happen?"
The difference is that I'm not a videogame character, I'm a real person that feels real pain. Besides, the ring finger hardly does anything.
it might be a visual bug
Considering telltale confirmed that the finger is determinant and that a bandage is a pretty weird visual bug I'll say no.
It's a huge thing, they hurt Clementine ;-;
On a more serious note i don't think it will have a huge impact in the long run, she will be able to cope fairly well without her finger so it will most likely be a cosmetic thing with the occasional reference rather than something that will cause long term disability problems.
I would have thought it a bug if they hadnt confirmed it was actually supposed to be missing.
Yeah, Zachary seemed to be doing fairly well missing two on his dominant hand.
Yeah, to be honest I have no idea why folk are loosing their shit over her having lost a finger. I mean, I'm not saying it wouldn't hurt like fucking hell to get your finger chopped off, but It doesn't really effect her that much in the long term. She can still use both of her hands, so I'd say it could of been a hell of a lot worse, ya know, like getting an entire hand cut right off...
Seriously, it isn't even her thumb or pointer finger. You can easily function normally while missing one non important finger
Honestly I'd sooner her get her finger cut off than something worse. The physical pain and shock of that is nothing compared to being raped or murdered or even worse. She still isn't bitten and that's good enough for me right now, considering her chances of survival in the first place
Maybe the finger itself isn't a big thing... but what caused it to be cut off is what really concerns me. It could be maybe to stop the spread of an infection, someone could have been interrogating her for information, who knows.
Of course it's not a big thing, s-she can live just fine without it.
prepares to replay the entire season in order to save that damn finger
I think Clem would beg to differ.
I'm more concerned of WHO cut off her finger or HOW she lost it. Sure it's not a big deal and she is right-handed, but still, whoever amputated her finger (If that happened) is fucking dead.
But he was probably left-handed as we see how he holds a pistol. But it's surprising that he holds a rifle trigger with his right hand.
A matter of opinion and immersion, obviously. Its an interesting consequence to speculate about, and its not like we really have much else atm. As for it not mattering because shes a fictional character, that can be used to brush off literally anything that happens to her.
Oh God, why?
I hope you don't mean what I think you mean...
That is a good question, but this time directed at you and not god
It has to do with my fucked up mind.
Yeah she could have worse things happen to her. It something TT can afford to lose without destroying her completely, but still give the player a constant reminder that bad shit can happen to her. Anime does this kinda thing all the time, with characters losing limbs, but still able to fight or whatever. It's like Kenny losing his eye. Sure it sucks and it has some affect, but he's still the same man we all know. Clementine will still be Clem with or without that finger.
Now the Lee in me however, wants to destroy anyone that hurts her.
Also, I'm sure the act of losing the finger will be a dredful experience just like sewing up her arm in S2.
yep just noticed that my psvita dosent render pictures very well
and reggie did pretty well without his left arm untill that moment
While it's terrible to see the Clem missing a finger, at least they didn't pull a Carl and TAKE HER FUCKING EYE
I'm more curious to see who cut it off. Because whoever cut it off is getting the Carver treatment.
Yeah and well she has still had it better so far than some (Rick or Lee) with whole arms missing.
They already did pull a Carl, but with Kenny.
The finger is a small thing
She's just thirteen.
While I was curious about her missing finger after seeing the trailer, I'm much more interested in other things (Javier's role in the story, those marks, etc)
I find all the freaking out over her finger overly dramatic tbh. I mean, she's made it this far into the ZA, so I'm not surprised TellTale finally decided to give her an injury that can't be fixed. And as far as said injuries go, losing one finger is generous. But that's just my way of looking at it.
It's subjective. I think it's a pretty big thing to have a missing body part. Every part of the body is important.
Would that be the finger's fault for not doing things by itself?
Well, she has bite scar and bullet wound. At least keep her innocent little finger
As somebody that once wrote Clementine losing part of her arm in a fic, I can honestly say that every inch of Clem is precious! PRECIOUS! How can you say that her finger missing is no big deal!? T_T she loses so much as a fingernail and we'll have failed her!
The objective of Season 3: Keep Clementine in one piece!
We'll just keep going through the game all 'aw shit her arm fell off! Rewind! Rewind!
What about the appendix
In fact, what does the appendix even do
She's just a computer animated videogame character so...
