Season 3 question.

Will season 3 be released in a typical episodic fashion?. Or do you think they will release the whole game in one sitting?. I've wondered this and not sure if it's been confirmed yet or not.

  • I think they will release it by episode like they did with the first 2 seasons.

  • It's going to be episodic as usual.

  • Darn, I hate the long waiting periods per episode. What do you think the waiting period will be for season 3? I hope it's not 1 per month.

One per month is like the best thing you can hope for from Telltale. Some of their episode wait times have gone up to 3-4 months in the past, but they've been making tighter release dates in recent years.

That is true, one per month would be the best if they are in fact going the episodic route.

  • Have they confirmed how many episodes though?

It's going to be episodic as usual.

It'll be the same schedule as ever. Once every Soon, twice every Eventually.

  • Pretty sure there will be 5.

  • Telltale have all but confirmed they are doing monthly episode releases for Batman, which by extension, is probably going to carry over to Season 3. So, yeah, expect a new episode each month.

  • They have not, but I would expect the usual five until they say otherwise.

  • They'll be doing one episode every 2 or 3 months.

  • Nah, I think it's better to wait months for each episode. You see what happened to Minecraft Story Mode Episode 1-4? They were released weekly and the story sucked, glad they learned their lesson when they released episode 5 and 6.

  • Why not just leave it till all the episodes are out? If you dont want to wait to see what happens inbetween episodes?

  • I hope not, they need to better the schedules and they have been lately

They'll be doing one episode every 2 or 3 months.

  • Hopefully more tho ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • They are going back to monthly releases

They'll be doing one episode every 2 or 3 months.

  • They all but confirmed Batman will have monthly episode releases and I imagine that extends to Walking Dead Season 3 as well.

  • The episodes were not released weekly.

  • No but very early

The episodes were not released weekly.

  • Monthly episodes were the norm before Walking Dead: Season 1 though

    No but very early

  • We had unnecessarily long waiting times around the last episodes of Season Two, and those are considered the worst in the series.

  • Typical episodic fashion like they do with all of their games. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only exception was Jurassic Park and maybe CSI.

  • really? thats amazing! i hope its true!

They are going back to monthly releases
