Recovery

One thing I really think Telltale made a mistake on with Season Two was getting rid of the original eerie and darker themes for the Episode 4 and 5 episode select. If you seriously listen to these, they are kinda scary with just how imposing and terrifying they sound, foreshadowing some really dark stuff:

Episode 4 is pretty creepy

My favourite has to be Episode 5 though, seriously listen to this. It really sets up a dark tone, and Jared Emerson-Johnson did a fantastic job on this

And by themes, I don't mean music either.

I've always wanted Season 3 to be about Recovery. Recounting your choices, talking to each other about what happened, trying to hang on to what little sanity you may have left as you try to forget or fight through the horror you have witnessed and experienced. Your choices not only affecting things physically but taking a mental toll. Sure, you want to help save that friend of yours. But are you really willing to let three possibly-innocent survivors who are caught in the mix be murdered to get there? Are you willing to live with yourself? The question you have to ask yourself: Would Lee be proud? Would Christa? Would Carley? Doug? Duck? Ben? Luke? Nick? Anyone who ever loved, helped or protected you? Who are you? What are you? Having to sit through day in, day out, dealing with yourself and what you've done.

In fact maybe even having choices limited based on the past. Maybe you simply aren't willing to let those three men die because you chose to leave Sarah behind even if you were friends? Yet maybe if you weren't friends with Sarah you could stomach leaving them behind? Or if you tried your best and tried to save Sarah?

You could murder this possibly dangerous/traitorous member of the group when his back is turned. But didn't Lilly do that, and didn't she get thrown out by Lee? What would Lee think? Did he sacrifice himself just for you to shoot him? What if he's innocent, like how Carley was? Yet what if it was Doug? It was Doug's own fault for stepping in the way, so surely you could pull the trigger now if you wanted to, right? Decisions being limited or opened up based on your mentality, your recovery, your past choices. Who will you become is truly something, not the player just asks, but the character.
