Anyone else get a bit sad during Russel.
The second saddest part in Season 1 in my opinion was the part during Russel's story where you hide from an incoming car and you see Doug's body just sitting there rotting away... Doug was my favorite character in season 1 (closely followed by Kenny). I'm curious how everyone else thought when they saw Doug again.........or Carley but I would choose Doug over Carley any day.

It was sad coming across Doug/Carley's corpse and it was sad how Russel's story ended. Very solemn and depressing.
Luckily I didn't hide when I first played so I didn't have the shock of seeing my beloved Carley.
Russell had a really depressing story not only because of Nate and the old couple, but because you really got the sense that a lot of time has passed. You remember the Lilly showdown but the world doesn't really care, it just keeps turning. Really depressing moment.
I was sad for a moment until Nate came along and made a necrophilia joke lol
Side question: Did Carley die the same way Doug did? Doug died protecting Ben by pushing him out of the way of the bullet if you need to know.
No its actually a lot different. Whereas Lilly kills Doug on accident, she deliberately shoots Carley in the face while everyone is distracted by Kenny getting the walker from under the rv. The reason for murdering her is basically just because Carley mouthed off and called Lilly a scared little girl.
Carley dies a bit differently. Lilly intentionally kills Carley instead of trying to kill Ben.
With Doug Kenny is the only one trying to get the walker out.
So was there no voting on who was the traitor?
Oh yeah same in this scenario. I was just trying to say that when he finally yanks it loose, everybody looks over at him and when they turn back BAM Carley is shot point blank. Pretty shocking.
There is, it's just that in this version Lilly thinks Carley is the traitor instead of Ben.
Oh, Did you let her stay in the rv?
I did.... it was my greatest regret as Lee. I was so ashamed I showed her mercy after what she did.
I let her stay only because I thought Ben was the traitor. She was trying to shoot him and I was fine with that. It makes you think about that choice different if you keep Doug.
It was better than seeing him as a walker I suppose. Still sad. I chose Doug too, btw. I always go with my gut in my first play through and do what I think I would do were it in real life, then explore my options in later play throughs. I chose Doug because he was being attacked from behind and Carley had a gun. I thought she could take the walker out. I don't regret my decision. Some people say Doug had no personality or was a nerd, but he quickly became a valuable member of the group and cameup with practical applications for his particular skill set. I was shocked and really sad when Lilly shot him. I let her come with us because it was (kind of) an accident and she had just lost her father. I kind of regret that. :'-(
Oh definitely, Lilly seems a lot more justified in Doug's scenario but I use that term lightly. In Doug's she murders someone but it is sort of an accident; in Carley's scenario it is outright cold blooded murder.
