Who or what is JAE?

You see it a few times in the teaser. Is it a leader of a rival group and the name marks the territory? Or does it stand for something?

  • It doesn't say "JAE," it says "JAB." It's interesting, because all 3 occurrences of "JAB" that I saw were signed with a bar above and below the "A".

This last one is especially nuts, since it says right next to it, "TAKE ME TO HELL" in what looks to be the same handwriting. The same message of "TAKE ME TO HELL" also seems to be elsewhere in the trailer (in the screenshot below), although it's harder to see. It's interesting to note below as well as on the construction sign that the "A" in "TAKE" has no bars above and below it:

So I imagine the "JAB" must be some sort of signature. And whoever they are, JAB doesn't seem like a very happy person...

  • Or its the square root of AB

  • Could JAB be Javier's initials?

  • No because his last name is Garcia.

  • When did they say that?

No because his last name is Garcia.

  • Maybe they was trying to find the degree of angles JAB, and finally gave up, thus "TAKE ME TO HELL."

  • I can't help but feel like the antagonists of Season 3 are gonna be part of a really ducked up cult.

  • Holy shit really? When was this said?

No because his last name is Garcia.

  • The picture of Javier's voice actor and his character name is floating around on the forums somewhere. Job said he's Cuban and the pic confirms his last name is Garcia.

  • Good catch but at a guess: TellTale's reusing textures again and we're overthinking it. Wonder if we'll see the mullet zombie again.

  • They did say that there are a lot of easily missable details in the trailer, though, and so far we've only found out that Javier and the walker have been branded with the same symbol, a zodiac sign for capricorn. I also don't recall ever seeing 'TAKE ME TO HELL'. It is possible that we saw JAB in Around Every Corner amongst the military markings (but I don't remember)

  • My first thought exactly. Like, 'Huh? What would they need geometric mean of A and B for?'

Or its the square root of AB
