If the TellTale Batman game DOES give me the option to kill,
I must confess, I would feel uncomfortable about the option, given the "true" Batman's nature.
BUT, the idea of a Batman that kills isn't unheard of, either.
The most obvious example was the Flashpoint version of Batman
(who was actually Thomas Wayne motivated by Bruce's murder) who was pretty much 'Frank Castle' in a Batsuit.
but, hardcore Batman fans will also recall that in Batman's early publication years (1939)
Batman has no problem killing criminals, and even carried a gun in his utility belt.
Bottomline. if the game even gives me the option to Kill.
I will mentally picture myself as the Flashpoint Batman if I do make that choice.
(granted that is IF I do. as I'll most likely make the choice the 'real' Batman would.)
I don't think you'll be able to kill anyone, you'll probably be able to paralyze someone or put them in a coma, or maybe choosing to let someone die like in Batman Begins.
I think Batman would only kill someone if there were lives at stake. However...he would let a villain die if it were a nasty one. I would imagine a situation like in the British TV series Luther This guy has been abducting young women and burying them alive...currently there is a woman missing and Luther has chased the villain into an abandoned steel mill...they are on a cat walk sever stories up when part of it gives way and the bad guy is hanging.
Luther stands over him and demands to know where she is...he tell him, the police get there...but Luther does not move to help the villain...waiting until there is confirmation that she is alive. Then he asks him how many was there....Luther starts naming the girls that they have found including one he unburied too late to save her. It is clear that the entire investigation has hurt Luther...damaging his soul to the point he relishes watching the bad guy struggle..and then fall. I can easily see Batman do that...because sometimes...terrible people deserve to die.
I'd be cool with a bit of a twist on the Kill/Not Kill option.
There's that moment in Ep2 where you talk to Oz as Batman and you get to say "I don't kill people" or however it was phrased, and that when you get to the moment of choice, it's not a simple "pick left/right option" but instead a bit of a branch where you have them at your mercy, and the bad guy goes "But Batman doesn't kill!" and you have the option of taking off the mask, and saying they're right, but Bruce Wayne can.

Seems like they might be building towards that choice in the final episode, with the option to mutilate Falcone and break that one thug's arm.

I'm all up for letting Batman kill people. Start with 'Vicki Vale', go on to Cobblepot, and then level the whole board of Wayne Enteprises.
Sometimes killing is warranted. I'm all for Telltale to create a very powerful scene where Batman's code would be put to the test.
