I clearly stated that I played the first two seasons a certain way ON XBOX ONE and want to have those exact choices for SEASON THREE ON PS4. Without the option I suggested, I would FORCED to RE BUY both seasons at 40 dollars in order to just have the choices I originally made...So I don''t really see how this "ruins the point of choices" considering without this option I have no choice and it will just randomize. I agree though some choices are of no consequence and can be randomized. But for the endings or something, I dont want to restart the premiere 6 times so that I get the ending from Season Two that I wanted.
This seems too much and ruins the point of choices.
Maybe give you a range (Maybe 10) of randomized choices to choose from. Since choosing every single choice would be too much
The randomisation of choices makes sense for new players. New players may not know anything about any of the characters from previous seasons, so they wouldn't now what they were choosing. Should I kill this person or let them live? Should I lie to this person or tell them the truth? Should I defend so-and-so in an argument? They would still be making the choices randomly, because they wouldn't have any information to base their decisions upon other than their moral compass. Since likely only the ending you chose in Season 2 will affect Season 3 anyway, does it even matter? There were only minor differences in dialogue in Season 2 based on what you did in Season 1.
Fair enough. The problem is that they have said Clementines outlook on the world and her personality will be different depending on your choices/ending of Season Two. So yes I would rather that Clementine not be completely different then what I intended her to be. I killed Kenny. I don't want the Clem in Season Three to have left off into the sunset with Kenny. That would be stupid. But I also don't want to pump out 40 bucks to play them again.
Thankfully, Playstation is having a "flash sale" and GoT, Tales, and Season 2 of the walking dead are around 6$ per game. So really this isn't a big deal for me anymore as I don't really mind spending 5 bucks for them.

I am aware that this could sound offensive, but you technically did have a choice. How did you not think that you would have this issue and, by consequence, become upset, before you traded your console? You were not forced into this situation. I am not saying that you are at fault, but you knew that this would happen.
@zombiebonnie—who I've encountered ten times between yesterday and today—also brings up a good point. Why would this be a good feature for new players if they don't know virtually anything about who the characters are and why they do what they do? I believe that it would rob them the experience of first interacting with the game, too.
However, I was going to offer a solution, though you worked it out on your own. You can reload and reload the first chapter of the game until you get the ending you had in Season 2. Should probably take ten or so minutes, and you will save US $40.

I guess they could let the player pick their ending and randomise the rest. The bottom line is you can't please everybody.
