Heheh! The recent posts in the forum reminded me how difficult it is to run a business. Any business. You just can't please everyone.
Sometime I wonder what's with the consumer mentality? There are lots of money to be made for sure, but companies just can't earn every single buck available. There's always limitation in life.
Anyway, continue the bashing of Nintendo guys. I really hate it when they still didn't learn from their mistakes from the past, i.e. snubbing consumer's concerns.
Cheers 'Seed'... I don't doubt you can get the points a little cheaper from the online Wii shop - just didn't know! I bought a couple of 2000 points cards form Game and they were exactly £20 each so will look to purchase the points online next time around. Definitely makes the series a touch cheaper.
I'm living in Thailand and want to play ToMI on my Wii. So far I've figured out that I have to download the game via the Wii Channel. However, I'm not sure if that is possible in Thailand. Will there be a release of the ToMI Wii game as normal CD?
I wonder if this delay for the Wii release will be the same for all episodes or just for this first one. Do anyone know if this is a one time thing because its the first episode or if we can count with the same delay for them all?
I'm pretty sure European Wiiware games are only released on fridays, if I remember correctly, and the releases are most often a complete surprise. So maybe you can expect it this friday, who knows?
Though I understand if Wii users are quite pissed off. Higher price tag mixed with probably very compressed graphics and sounds.
It's true. It's going to be released on Wiiware in the US on the 27th. Europe and the UK have to wait longer, with no date even specified yet.
Why? I just don't get why Nintendo need to be such jerks all the time.
Nintendo of Europe has a long history of being jerks and a disgrace to their companies name. Nothing new here.
See also the quote a while ago from NOEs president insulting his own customers (he probably got a severe smack on his head after that by Nintendos japans hqs, because he apologized a while later.
It is a known fact that Ninty wanted to get rid of region codes but the reason they didnt was NOE, also look at the releases europeans get half the releases the US get with a biweekly change between virtual console and wiiware.
I actually dont care anymore, the Wii probably will be my last Nintendo console anyway, it currently is mostly gathering dust, except for the occasional Wiiware release like NyXQuest!
Currently the PC gets most of my attentation again!

They certainly have an abysmal track record with release dates. As for the rest of your post, you really should back it up with links. I'm not familiar with the quote (unless it was the "geeks and otaku" incident) nor the "known fact" you mention. I'm just sayin'.
Thank the gods of gaming for the PC version though - I got it myself the second I saw they missed the first Friday update almost a month ago.
I really do feel sorry for people who are still waiting for the Wii version, but unless you have a Wii and no PC you should realise the PC version is completely superior in every aspect.
So... since this should be out on US Wiis today, has anyone played it yet? Any impressions of the Wii version vs. the PC? Just curious at how well the content fared considering the space restrictions...

I'm also curious about how the other one is faring, seeing as I got the PC version because:
1) no large compression needed
2) because the PC version was out a near month earlier
3) I dislike the whole Wii Points shebang [mainly the tedious way of buying them because I just happen to be in the minority of credit card users]...
Yes the last one is a stubborn nitpick, but hey I've been exposed to a 360 for the last few months now. Go figure.
Hope the Wii version is enjoyable to those who want to / have no choice but to play that version, though.

Indeed. It's pathetic. Just what is Nintendo's problem?

If you're patient, or not overly a big fan of video games, then NoE do a half-decent job.
Otherwise you buy from the US.

I totally agree with that. Oh, how I hate re-entering EVERY SINGLE BIT of my credit card information EVERY SINGLE TIME I buy Wii points...
