3 years later...
How do you guys think the story will be able to carry over and have an impact, since 3 years have passed(season two endings, old characters like Christa, etc.)?

I'm waiting, that's how I get the answers.
I feel like episode one might spend some time tying up the loose ends. Maybe the time skip doesn't happen instantly? We'll just have to wait and see.
They'll find a way,somehow.
Mostly I believe with flashbacks or memories when walking into historical museums.
Keeping a reminder to our hearts, keeping the bond meter high.
Hm... Maybe It's was 2 years?
I am hoping the decisions we made in Season 2 will carry over. Other then that we will just have to wait and see.
Well because Telltale seems to love doing intros now, I feel like they could have a cool opening credits intro the moment you start and it recaps what happened to Clem over the past 3 years and is different based on your ending.
This is what I imagine they'll do. Perhaps it'll start with a section where you play as Clem shortly after your Season Two ending, then something crazy happens (i.e. Wellington/Howe's falls, Kenny/Jane go missing, etc.). Then we'll play as Javier for a good portion of the Episode until he meets Clementine. Then they team up, a few more scenes happen, and it ends.
That's a really neat idea! I'd love to see this!
Hopefully that's the case, I'm hoping the time-skip doesn't kill off everyone Clementine is with again though.
If my hope for Kenny didn't happen, then I've been waiting for nothing other than Clementie and her new story
I meant the intro would show whatever ending you got, and how they reached where they are now. For example say you got the stay at Wellington ending, it could show Clem at Wellington, Clem doing things for Wellington, Wellington getting attacked, Clem leaving Wellington, and then eventually finding herself where season 3 will take place. Now say for example you stayed with Kenny, it could show Kenny and Clem traveling looking for a new location, have some walker fights, if that ending happens to be the one where Clem loses her finger it could show that, and would also leave off with Clem and Kenny at where Season 3 begins. I just feel like it would be a good way for everyone to be at the same place without needing to explain what happened for each ending, but, making it so your choices would matter, like having Kenny, Jane, or no one with you in Season 3.
I'm honestly not expecting the choices to have much of an impact.
Pretty sure its 4 years into the apocalypse since they said it's in the same time frame that the comics are in. But all of Clem's choices, whether they end up mattering or not, are weighing onto her shoulders now. 4 years in? Yeah...not a single innocent person left in that world. All the stupid, weak, and unlucky people are dead. Just the strong, smart, and lucky remain.
