It's not... 'sad'. More like disappointed. She would be the brand new vilain this comics needed but instead we're going to have to read more and more Negan...
I like the characterisation they gave him in the last issue (although most of it was bs, he clearly married coutless woman and burnt their husband's face because he needed to, right? He also stole Hilltop, Alexandria and The Kigdom's suplies because he needed to.) but if they keep overusing him like this, one day people will lose interest.
In addition to that Alpha was a good character (good meaning well written) imo. Acting all though and powerful and emotionless when in fact she was neither of those things. They still managed to explore this a bit but now she's dead.
I think Kirman felt Beta was more interesting so he killed Alpha off. And most fans (including me) like Negan. Hes far more developed and interesting than any other villain the series had.

It's different. Underwater you have your hole body attached to you including the oxygen of your last breath which allows you to stay underwater without breathing for a limited ammount of time.
When you're just a head you lose all your oxygen suply which makes your brain die in about 7 seconds (I remember reading that somewhere)

Well to each their own but I never felt like Negan had any character development and that's probably what makes me feel like he's uninteresting. I look at Negan from issue 156 and see the same person who smashed Glenn's head in issue 100.

Ah, i see. It's interesting that you say that because i've always seen himas the opposite. A refreshing, entretaining well developed bad guy. Unlike the Governor who appreared to be evil for evil sakes. Negan has values, he doesn't just massacre his own men because they failed him once. He cares about rebuilding the world and wants to control instead of kill and destroy like every other villain.
But if you see him as the opposite then i guess you have a right to be frustrated.

You seem to forget that the prediction came out of people who wanted Negan to stab her instead of make out with her like the cover was implying.
That doesn't change anything for me. The general impression that I got is that many readers—not including myself—believed that he would betray her and not stick with the Whisperers, and that is the direction that it is going so far. Maybe there was a lack of set-up that would guide the majority of readers to think that he would actually stay, I don't know. I was personally fooled.
Even then , in a series with so many unexpected and unpredictable moments i feel it was earned.
I am happy for those who like Negan and despised Alpha, though.
I am just frustrated because I liked Alpha and despise Negan.

I was fooled too. And it's ok. Eventhough i love Negan i can't help but feel like it was unfair for him to kill Alpha to further his own story. It seems like Kirkman felt like Beta was a better character or just had more potential, so he just up and killed her as quickly as he could.
I hope that a vengeful Beta gives you payback for the dissapointment you felt .

My reaction: "FUUUUUCK OH MY FUCKING GOD- NO WAY! DAAAAAAMN!"
Final thoughts: I knew Alpha didn't have it in her. I knew the whole "I'm s… moretrong enough to shit on societal beliefs and set myself back to early human instincts to become the primitive queen of the apocalypse" bullshit was all an act. You're not fooling anyone, Alpha. And I especially didn't fear you for killing a handful of likeable characters and placing their heads on pikes (God rest their souls) just because you managed to get the drop on them. So the fuck what? With that 7 foot monster Beta protecting you and all, it's no surprise that none of your fellow whisperers even wanted to challenge you for the Alpha spot. My friends and I would repeatedly question why Beta didn't just kill her and take the spot for himself. He would have been a way more believable villain, considering the fact that Mr. Jolly Green Giant over here has a whole foot on Negan and practically has his ow… [view original content]
And what about the whole "those strong enough survive, the weak deserve to die" concept they seem to have based their lives upon? When it comes to skinning a walker they act like it's totally normal ,but when it's about killing two walkers they're like "whoa man, how did you do that? That's incredible, you are a real survivor!" And then why would they stay so close to walkers if they fear them? It just doesn't make sense.
Yeah but they're never fighting them. The whisperers are invisible to the walkers so they see actually attacking one as brave and killing two with such effeciency and speed as impressive. Then again the two might have just been the most cowardly whisperers.

Ught, right. I read something about the 15 seconds of life, but idk.
Ah. I see.
I don't feel the same way, but I understand.

Heeeey you came back!
Yeah, I've been back for, like, a week.
If it makes you feel happy, tho, she probably experienced that excruciating pain anyway

I didn't notice lol

No, don't appologise. That pun was fantastic .
Thank you but the guy that said Negan still got head was the best pun XD
Yeah but still .

She seemed to be ready to have it in her when she said Negan belonged there
