What, in your opinion, were the highlights in the TWD games?
While both seasons were good, there are some particular gems in there. What moments in the games really stood out to you, whether they be tense, thought-provoking, bittersweet, or simply well-written?
Some of my favourites are (1. Chuck's advice to Lee on the train (2. when normally meek, self-deprecating Ben lashes out at Kenny (3. Walter's philosophical discussion with Clementine outside the lodge (4. when Walter confronts Nick about Matthew (5. Bonnie's conversation with Clementine at the lake house (if you choose to go to Luke) (6. Kenny and Jane's argument in the pickup. (7. Kenny's final moments (if you shoot him)
Honourable mentions are Doug telling Lee he should have saved Carley, Irene's fate, Clem seeing her parents, Clem's exploration of and conclusions regarding Sam's family's campsite, the "Christmas" supper at the lodge, AJ's birth, and the campfire scene with the survivors of the attack by Arvo's group.
Comments
Hmmm. I'll try to control myself here. Fight the urge to type out 50 scenes. These are in no particular order.
1.)Kenny's return. It was surreal, emotional, and done very well. (In my opinion.)
2.)If you decide to leave Lee to turn in No Time Left. It was so heartbreaking. The dialogue that plays beforehand and the way you see him slump over and die and...TEARS
3.) You already said it, but Ben snapping at Kenny. It brought to mind something many players didn't think of. I just loved Kenny's reaction also.
4.) Kenny and Ben's death. Both Kenny "deaths" were great, but I preferred this one. I thought it was one of the most upsetting scenes in the game. The fact that Kenny was able to forgive Ben to a degree and do the right thing was just great. I also liked some of the different contexts behind his action here.
5.) Killing Larry in the meatlocker. I loved the way this scene was shot. It was so horrible to watch, but in a good way. Lily's expression as you restrained her to kill her father was just heartbreaking. I don't know about anyone else, but I felt legitimate guilt and my heart kind of just dropped to my stomach.
6.) Another one you said, but Walter's philosophies. I thought they were very interesting and profound. He was just such a unique character, in my opinion, and you really started to see it here.
7.) When Lee and Kenny walk into the woods together to find Katjaa. I was shocked. I didn't find her suicide to be out of character, and I thought it put her in a new light. I really liked her, and I was just so sad. Kenny's reaction and then the prospect of having to deal with Duck was just awful.
8.) Getting the group to come with you to find Clem. For once, you weren't in control. You got to see what all the characters thought of you. In my game, I offered to go alone. Then Kenny and Omid and Christa just wouldn't allow it. I may have shedded some bro tears during Kenny's speech. Ben also came after I left the decision up to him. It felt good to know that my group would always have my back.
This was really hard, but I think these are my favorite scenes. Maybe.
Honorable mentions:
Season 2 Flashback
Teaching Sarah to shoot
Chuck's advice
Boy in the attic
Explaining Duck to Clem
Lee getting bit
Clem seeing her parents
Too many honorable mentions?

The entire meat locker sequence (one of the most important scenes of the game. Has a giant ripple effect on the story going forward, and has effects that are felt throughout the rest of the season)
The final fight with Andy in Starved For Help, and his possible death
Talking to/fighting Kenny on the train
Katjaa and Duck's deaths
Ben standing up to Kenny
Ben's death/Kenny's sacrifice in No Time Left

There's a lot more, but I'd be here all night if I tried to list all of them.
