Changes in sound/music

What's up with bits of SFX and music being changed or removed later on? Like in season 1 episode 1, the weird "da-da!" noise of when the zombies show up and the screen flashes are now removed from my game. You can still hear that noise when Lee gets grabbed by a zombie in the sewer or fails a QTE, though.
And in season 2, the music when Kenny was being beat down by Carver was changed to that music that was playing when Walter was holding the knife.

It's just weird.

Must be just you. I just played that episode of season 2 and I still have the original music, because you know, it hasn't been changed at all. Watch a playthrough from when it first came out. Same music.

  • No. I'm saying you're mistaken.

What are you playing it on?

I can tell you for a fact, if it's the PC version, something must have bugged out for you, because neither season has been updated in years.

    PS3

I checked both the disc version and the downloaded version (I downloaded it later because the disc lagged too much) and both have the changed sounds

There's a few other things which may or may not be running changes, like Kenny having extra dialogue to Lee before he drops Ben in the bell tower, or Clementine talking to Walter in a happy or sad tone. Those could just be based on decisions, although which decisions, I have no idea.

  • Doubt it, considering I still have the same music as always when Carver beats down Kenny on PS4 and PS3 even to this day.

  • Dude, I'll record it if I have to. I'll prove i'm right.

  • Prove it. Cause I'm watching a video on youtube from one month ago and it's the same theme as always.

  • You first. You're the one who needs to prove his argument, but for the sake of it. Here you are.

The Carver beats Kenny scene recorded a month ago, complete with guitar riff.

Walter with the knife. (the scene you were on about.

  • Care to post yours? As you are the one who needs to prove the argument not me. I find it very odd that as soon as you were asked to prove it you demanded I prove it too.

  • You're right. I'm wrong. Sort of.
That's still a portion of "the knife" that plays in "kenny's beatdown"

  • So I think my "problem" was just that I got improved audio later on, and I was able to hear the portions of "the knife" in that track when I wasn't able to before.

I still have no idea, however, what is up with those ?bell? ringing noises being absent when the zombies show up in episode 1. It's the same noise as when the zombie jump scares you by grabbing your ankle in the sewer. And the noise when you fail QTEs
