Fear TWD Nick eating dogs

For anyone who watched the latest Fear episode they know that Nick ate a little chunk of a dog corpse, but they were devoured by walkers.. Doesnt that mean that he's eating TAINTEEEED MEEEAT cough or uh does that just doesnt effect people?

    It doesn't affect anyone as long as the plot doesn't say so.

    I'm pretty sure the virus doesn't affect animals, nor airborne or in contact with their bite.
    It seems that dogs at least are not affected by the airborne virus otherwise Clem would be a walker from Sam's bite and now they seem to not be affected by bites too

    I truly thought that Nick was gonna die super early on in Fear because well, take a look at him in the earlier episodes...

    But the show proved me wrong, and he ended up becoming my favorite character. He did a complete 180 and became awesome.

    I started liking him more when i found out he's Stannis' son :D
