  • 9 PERCENT AND PROUD!

I never betray the bro trust. Hail Harvey, Make Gotham Great Again! I resisted. I AM THE 9 PERCENT AND I AM PROUD.

  • As much as i wanted to sleep with Selina, I just couldn't betray the bro trust between Harvey and me. It was hard, but I am the 10%... man.

  • 90% failed the test.

The 10%, you are the real bro.

Pfff, you guys will only know what real thoughness is when you're in the mighty 1%.

1 year and a half back...

"You and 1.1% of players told Finn about his knife."

  • I chose to save Harvey over Selina at the debate because he's my best friend and he's the best shot i have at saving Gotham, but in no way is sleeping with Selina cheating and i think the idea that it is is absolutely ridiculous. Selina has no real romantic feelings towards Harvey and there's an obvious real connection between Bruce and Selina. We're talking about a couple that's been written to be married to each other and even have a daughter together. So i think it's perfectly fine to be with her that night without it counting as betrayal.

  • I don't think we can use comic portrayals as justification as this is basically a clean slate.

  • Still shoudn't matter though. Bruce will always be destined to be with Selina or Talia. It's fate.

i can understand the most who chose to do it for her bod....uhuuh Comic Purposes , sry ..

Still i like to think about the game as a tv show , and if batman , the main protagonist would have done something that horrible to his best friend .

I doubt he'd be very liked . espicially more to the comic readers ... Since i think having a relation with your bestfriend 's girl .

Would be against batman's core message .... :D

Still , it's funny to see people trying to find valuable excuses ...

"They're togheter in the comics "

  • Nice way to mock other people's reasoning. That, and you obviously haven't read much of the source material to know about the character.

  • We can't use them to say "hey, but it is canon" because comic canon doesn't matter here.

But we CAN use them to say "hey, I am used to this pairing and I really liked it in the comics so I want them to be together in the game too".

  • I find it kinda disrespectful how Harvey thinks he has "dibs" on Selina when they were not in a relationship. She is a person, you know. If this was a TV show, I would find Bruce unlikable if he went with Harvey's mentality on this, like if Selina's wishes didn't matter and she was his property because they got together once. Please, Harvey didn't even bring her to any public appearances.

She isn't "his girl", she made that crystal clear in more than one occasion.

And "They are together in the comics" is a perfectly good excuse to want them to be together in the game too. Not because "it is canon", but because you were exposed to the pairing before and think they have chemistry (which they do).

  • To be fair Selina didn't do anything wrong but I can't really blame Harvey for being mad at Bruce.

  • I don't know. There were not many reasons for Bruce to even think they were in a relationship to begin with (you can even tell that to Harvey). Or maybe I was just oblivious to it. I honestly didn't even think of the possibility that it could be Harvey at the door when I heard the knock.

In the end, I think Bruce was just terribly unlucky that Harvey decided to go after Selina out of all the women he goes out with (he is known to be a "skirt chaser", and he hits on Vicky at the party at the Wayne's mansion).

  • After he went see Selina in her apartment and had his fit of rage when he found Bruce there, I realized he had feelings for her. But I didn't pick that up when at the hospital. I mean, my Harvey has half his face burnt off, and when something horrible like that happens to you, you expect people that have some degree of intimacy with you to go see if you are okay, even if you are just sleeping together. So I didn't think much of it when he mentioned she didn't show up :/

On a note that is not really relevant to this conversation, the "feelings" I mentioned are closer to possessiveness than to love. He did try to hurt her, and even if that was "the other guy" speaking, the drug removes your inhibitions so it was still something that he kinda wanted to do. I'm just adding this note because I don't want you to think that his fit of rage makes me think he loves her.

It's pretty bad, but it's hard to care when you know Harvey's gonna become Two Face.

  • Of course I don't condone cheating in real-life but this case is special, Selina and Harvey as Bruce said himself in one of his answer were not a couple. It was all in Harvey's head.

She evidently has feelings for Bruce and this is reciprocal, strangely neither have openly admitted that they love each other. It's easy to understand why Bruce and Selina are attracted : they don't have to fake who they are.

So yeah I have no problem with romancing Selina, she is perfectly aware of what she did and the consequences it would have. She initiated the move, I followed through.
