How much have these games' music affected you?

So TellTale has done a wonderful job in the music department, I think we can all agree on that, but since joining I've noticed any discussion relating to music often garner a response about a band/artist featured in the credits (or in the case of the Michonne Miniseries and Dorothy; the intro). Also the original tracks (Jered Emerson-Johnson you're a god amongst men) have popped up as well.

In case you need reminders;
Season 1 - Episode 5; Take Us Back - Alela Diane
Season 2 - Episode 1; In The Water - Anadale
Season 2 - Episode 2; In The Pines - Janel Drewis
Season 2 - Episode 3; Remember Me - Anadale
Season 2 - Episode 4; Salty Seas - Devics
Michonne Miniseries - Intro; Gun In My Hand - Dorothy
Michonne Miniseries - Episode 1; Wolf - First Aid Kit
Michonne Miniseries - Episode 3; To The Bone - Mirel Wagner

I'm a bit of a music junkie so when I first played through the songs caught my attention, so I tracked them down and downloaded them (even though half have emotionally scarred me me). Then looked into the artists. Then downloaded pretty much everything else they've ever done. Long story short I now about 17 songs for Alela Diane (I Never Came is My Favorite. I'm weird like that), about 30 songs from First Aid Kit (Stay Gold is their best, fight me about it) and about 12 songs from Anadel (honestly I don't have a favorite. They're all solid.).

So what I'm wondering if the music has effected anyone else to this extent or was it just a passing touch?

  • During the Recruitment portion of Season 1, Episode 4. (The part where you can convince Omid and Christa, Kenny, and [Determinant] Ben.)
The musical number (Which I wish I knew the name of) really set the tone of the Scene. It was a firm tune that really got me amped up for what was to come.

  • i bought the Dorothy track while it was still playing in the game! but that's it so far.

  • I deeply enjoys the credit song of Michonne Episode 1. I really like First Aid Kit.

Otherwise, I really love the music of the Walking Dead game. There is a strong charm and beauty to it, yet there is sadness.

  • I will forever love Salty Seas by Devics, which was played during the credits for Amid the Ruins. The song fit the episode perfectly. It's also really relatable to those who've dealt with mental illnesses, like several of the characters in this episode.

  • I listen to this lovely music all the time at work. Brings back good memories I experienced when I played TWD S1 & S2. Even the soundtrack that plays during the episodes I like hearing, it's so well done.

  • Does the in game music count and not the end credits as you listed? I felt the music that played during the final Lee/Clem scene in Season 1 affected me emotionally, as did the music during the final scene of Season 2 after Kenny is shot or the Wellington ending.

  • Music adds a lot of depth and character into certain situations.
The song that is played when the group is stuck with the tanker in the way of the train in S1E3 is soothing.
I sound weird, but the the music, the scenery, really makes me feel a sense of peace and joy watching it.
Oh and it's not really music, but the sound effect when Duck is wanting to help always cracks me up.

  • The music in this series, for me at least, effectively aided in eliciting the proper emotional response. Their apt contribution to the atmosphere is just mind boggling .

"Alive Inside" makes me feel dead inside, and I couldn't ask for anything more. Also, I'm not quite sure of the name, but the music that played during Kenny's Season 1 sacrifice also causes of wave of emotions to crash over me. It induces both panic and sadness and just complemented the feelings of the said scenes perfectly. These are only two examples, but there is yet to be track that I dislike.

  • Yeah, they count. (Armed with Death is the greatest thing ever)

  • Take us back, and I don't know why, but the sorrowful tone to the song makes me think of Kenny's loss in S1.

I have to admit, at the end of S1, I was left with this empty feeling. Like my emotions had been taken on a roller-coaster.

Like everything I had tried to do in the game, mainly keeping the group together, went basically to hell in a handbag.

In S2, I didn't get that same feeling. Quite honestly I didn't understand the whole message behind S2 - if there even was one.
