Signs That This May Be Clem's Last Season.
- Missing Finger.
The last playable character that had a permanent-determinant injury was Lee, which was his chop off arm. The reason for that choice to even exist was because the writers of the game knew that Lee wasn't going to be used for future seasons. Therefore, the writers didn't have to think of ways to write over a whole season where he has one arm or two arms.
Also to note, Clem has never suffered a determinant injury that was permanent.Slap bruise(s) and gun butt are injuries that healed after the next scene. And for there to be a choice that causes writers to make different models of Clem's for future seasons seems unlikely unless they make her wear a non determinant glove or her finger gets cut off regardless but later in this season or later season.
- Javier
With the story being mostly based on Javier. I feel that the writers are trying to whine us away slowly from Clem's story before they conclude it. By doing this , they can introduce us to a character, that would've not invest our time with unless Clem is involved. Then, once we warm up to Javier , they can conclude Clem's story and make future seasons with Javier.
Let me know what you guys think.

1- Come on, it's a pinky finger, when was the last time you used yours for anything important?. It should take no more than 30 seconds to delete the polygons of her pinky finger and no more than 30kbs in the game's code to implement this.
2- Not gonna happen, Clem is the selling point.
Don't be mean to the pinky!
They'd probably lose like 20-30% of their players if they decided to kill off Clem. The same reason the show cannot kill off Daryl. It would be a financial disaster.
When I first read this, I thought you said Prinky...
It's way too early to start theorizing if Season 3 could be the last chapters in Clementine's story.
We've only got a handful of screenshots and a two minute movie footage, which doesn't give us much on what the entire season will have in store for all of us.
Missing half a finger isn't as life changing as losing an arm
Lol we will have no idea if this will be Clem's last season until near the end of the season i imagine. In my opinion, i don't think it will be her last.
I dont think there are many signs beyond Javi being thrust into Clem's spotlight.
But my gut feeling is that TTG has moved past her as a character. That they are either looking to have her killed off, pushed out or that they want to establish Javi in order to spin him off into his own game series and are using Clem to get eyes on him.
I've said it once and I'll say again, if they give her a satisfying and well written death, where's the problem? Every character has their end and I'd prefer to see Clementine get a decent one, rather than be shoved into every season, growing stale, because some fans want it.
They are not done with her....she will be back.
I wouldn't mind if Clem dies as long as her death makes sense to the story and her character arc, not just for shock effect. Kind of like what happened to Lee in Season 1.
I don't know, it's a flat out no from me. I don't care how good a death it is
Sorry but, if they kill our daughter I'm going to have to go juggernaut hulk on them =_=
Telltale's higher-ups prefer the dough, so it's not likely that their little money-maker will get kiboshed, at least not this early. They do still have to recover the Walking Dead franchise after the last two attempts did subpar.
ring finger
Well after season 6 ending, I dunno if he is alive.
xD
Too soon.
Imagine if it was though..
Telltale would actually make the story better if they kill off Clem in my opinion. But I wouldn't do it for a cheap audience shock, if I were to kill Clem I'd do it because of story reasons. Plus, I'd show hints of her death after a major story event.
I'm not saying this because I hate Clem. I actually fucking love her as if she was my own daughter and would do anything to keep her safe.
But if they actually do this, then Telltale would be realistic and show us that no one is safe and everyone will die eventually which would make the writing and the ending so much better.
Nah they are not going to throw away that popular of a character...hurt her sure....rough her up ok....but they will not kill off one of their best character inventions.
Clem will die at the end of episode 1, and Javier will be our protagonist for now on. Kenny or Jane will appear in episode 2.
In that case they would have to rename it The Walking Dead: A New Frontier That Destroyed Our Fan Base and Put Us All In Unemployment...or TWDANFTDOFBAPUAIU as it is known to Wikipedia under the listings of Corporate Suicdes.
If S3 Clem is basically just a older version of S2 Clem then I personally wouldn't mind if S3 was her last season.
I personally go for a new character.
What is wrong with season 2 Clem?
#BORING
Nah. Remember that time she kicked that door?
Please don't overuse large letters. Thanks.
If Telltale gives Season 3 a satisfying ending, then I don't think season 10,000 needs to happen.
However...if S3 is awesome then I do think S4 is warrented.
Charm.
If Clem is done I'm done, and if Daryl's done I'm done. Simple. Clem is the most interesting character in the game, and Daryl's the most interesting in the show.
good. season 2 clementine was feminist propaganda. i would much rather play as javier from now on.
Wow...did you throw your controller in disgust when you got to the end of Metroid and discovered that Samus was a woman? I bet you did.
i dont know what metroid is.
edit: i dont mind playing as female characters like lara croft, etc. i just dont like playing as little girls who have superhuman strength.
what super human strength are you talking about...she could not lift 5 gallons of water?
FOR A PINKY SWEAR, THANK YOU VERY MUCH
If Clementine dies
Clementine is my favorite Walking Dead character, and I would personally prefer for her to live, but if her death is well written, relates to her story, and isn't used just to shock fanboys like me, I will be alright with it.
Know who else has a missing limb but is still quite active in TWD universe? Rick Grimes. He's had his hand missing a vast majority of the entire Walking Dead series and is still kicking ass in the comics to this day. Also doesn't hurt to mention Clementine just lost a ring finger, don't think that'd be a major handicap on any person's life, especially when you compare it to other survivors in TWD universe.
Just because the game's story arc has a new central character that doesn't mean it'll make us move on from Clem. Telltale knows how important and beloved Clementine is, and won't conclude her story until the time comes for it to. To me the series reflects on her coming-of-age story on how a child would grow up in the apocalypse. Season Three/A New Frontier is just another chapter in her journey.
