Could Kenny possibly have been autistic?

A high - functioning autistic person?

Given his lack of tact, although that in itself didn't mean he was autistic. But his general lack of social skills, his tremendous anger issues, and his seemingly seemingly being unable to read social situations - particularly in S2, may seem to indicate autism.

And just to be clear, autism is not a learning disability per-say. Rather, the brain is simply wired differently, unlike that of an average person.

And thus it makes it very hard for autistic people in social situations, and thus they are at risk for not having many friends. A sad reality, but true!

Hopefully one day, Medical Science will one day be able to find a cure for this condition. Or at the very least provide some type of medication that is helpful to people with this condition.

  • Nah I doubt it. The word seems to be thrown around a lot these days. Kenny seemed like someone that would have been fine in social situations before the apocalypse, and hell in my opinion he was spot on in reading people and social situations during the apocalypse at times.

  • I doubt it.

Though he may not have a lot of tact due to his hotheadedness, Kenny does have a strong grasp of social and leadership skills and isn't afraid to butt heads with those who disagrees with him, something a person with autism may show difficulty with.

As someone who has a mild form of it, no, I don't think he does.

Kenny's shitfits sorta tied in with his insanity.

At this point into the apocalypse, there are certain people that are just...toys in the attic crazy. And Kenny fell onto that list.

Sarah is another story, though. I thought she had it within the first minute and a half of meeting her.

  • That is actually a very good point you made, about how someone with autism might avoid confrontation.

  • Kenny is the living polar opposite of autism.
