I don't hate him completely but come on, did he really think he would get away with punching the leader of the saviors? If he had just thought about the consequences before acting on instinct. The whole word, will agree with me that Glenn would still be alive.

I know there are plenty of Daryl apologist fans out there but the fact still stands in my belief that Daryl was indirectly responsible for Glenn's murder. They knew Negan was a psycho and even though Negan's a big meanie they should think about the possibility of consequences for taunting and provoking a crazy leader like him. Daryl meant righteousness but his rash actions proved ultimately futile and only lead to more people getting killed in their group. Now with Denise Daryl might blame himself but I don't think that one was on him much at all. It was Dwight's fault he just used Daryl's stolen property to accidently kill the wrong person. While in the comic. I believe he intently killed his target.

Nah it wasn't his fault, They still would have killed Glenn just under different circumstances. Glenn had been a dead man walking since his fake death.

It's not about what the writers want, it's about analyzing the situation realistically and assuming what are the consequences for rash actions, something he seems to be miseading as capitulation.
