Anyone else ever get stuck on the bandit scene?
If I'm being honest, I hated 103 at first because I could never get past the god damn bandit scene where they seized the Motor Inn! The only reason I got past it on my first time playing was my cousin was playing a bit of the game and that section happened to come up. For a long time I would just skip over 103 entirely. The last few times I've played S1 I've managed to do it on my first try which I learned the trick of just not staying out in the open for too long. Not to mention the whole game up to that point had been hover over an enemy and push a button, and all of a sudden BOOM, first person shooter, baby! :P It just felt weird having the game throw that in there so quickly. Did anyone else have trouble with this scene in the past?

I failed it a few times when I first played it. Never to a point where it made me quit, though. At most, a few exasperated sighs and "oh come the fuck on"s. On a controller, it can be very annoying, especially coupled with the lag the console versions tend to experience (played the game on xbox first). On a PC, it's not too bad. Then again, basically everything is easier on the PC version. That's one upside to playing with a controller; it makes things ever so slightly more difficult. Adds to the tension and stuff. On the downside... scenes like this can end up being very infuriating.
It took me awhile but i eventually got them.
Oh god, the bandit scene. I was screaming at my TV and constantly checked the difficulty I was on because I couldn't get passed it. I probably got the GAME OVER screen 30 times before finally passing it.
The mechanics are a bit different from the norm of FPSs. As the aiming isn't too precise and once you see a whole lot of red (indicating danger) you better stay in cover. Then you got going back and forth on the sides of the RV. It certainly felt like an indie company's first try at a fps. Not terrible, but clunky.

Do you have Carley or Doug? Cause I know its actually harder with Doug.

I remember playing this scene on the PS Vita for the first time. I finally managed to get through it by furiously tapping the R1 button and flailing the thumb stick. Good little finger workout.
I get stuck on it to this day! I never have Doug with me because I literally couldn't do it without Carley
