Lee Everett was a history professor who killed the senator his wife cheated on him with. He was let go from his teaching position and sentenced to prison. He was being transported to the prison around the time the outbreak began. He grew up in Macon, Georgia where his family owned a pharmacy. Kenny and his family were from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kenny was a commercial fisherman and his wife was a veterinarian. Lilly and her father were ex-military. Air Force, if I remember correctly. Carley was a radio news reporter on assignment when the outbreak occurred. Doug was some sort of computer technician working for an uncle with whom he lived.
