Error I noticed in the timeline at the beginning of game.

This may/likely have already been brought up before but I noticed a bit of error at the beginning of the game for season 1. When Lee plays the messages when he is in Clem's house Clem's mom mentions spring break to the babysitter and how she would likely want to get ready for it. This implies the game was taking place in March/April at the beginning of season 1. Yet jump ahead to episode 2 of season 1 which takes place three months later and everyone is waring coats or late fall/early winter clothing. In the comic they do go through some cold weather very early on in the comic so the jackets they were wearing in episode 2 would be accurate. But Clem's mom mentioning spring break would not.

Probably just a bit of an oversight by the people who were putting that part of the story together.

  • These are the same writers that made Clem a first grade student at 8. The Spring Break line isn't that surprising.

  • It's an oversight, or they decided to change it after Episode 1. The dates on the tapes in Crawford indicate that the outbreak started on July 20, which means Episode 2 takes place some time in late October.

  • I wouldn't really call that an error, it's possible she could've been kept at home before beginning 1st grade :p

  • that was totally intentional, hence the awkward lines about lee realising she probably isn't too bright

There is no evidence of Clem being stupid, if anything the opposite is the case. She survived in her tree house alone while kids like the one in Crawford starved to death. She's also pretty mature for her age, Duck was older and a lot more childish. It was just an error on Telltale's part.

  • survival skills and common sense don't equate to academic intelligence, hence why she licked a salt lick and is still in first grade
