Should I play michone before A New Frontier?

I never got round to playing the walking dead: michone mini series as it didnt look too interesting for me.

Do you think I will need to play it before playing A New Frontier?

    You get it free with preorder of season 3 so you might as well.

    Need it? No. You should though! I enjoyed it and it's a really cool game IMO.

    it's more a side story and most likely will have no connection to anf. but play it anyways it's pretty good.

    But that was just advertising. Along the lines of "Play this, it's more TWD by Telltale!", not in the sense of "This will be important for S3!". I don't think Michonne choices will carry over at all, there are rarely any that would affect anything outside of the miniseries' narrative anyway.

    But "you will want play" is "you WILL want play". Imo, Job says some character Michonne from series will affect s3.

    Same with this tweet:
