A Crippled Character

So at this point in The Walking Dead it is known that amputating a limb can save one from a walker bite if done quick enough. What if we were given a curveball and either Javier or Clementine (God forbid) had one of their limbs amputated? I don't think this has been brought up and fleshed out as a plot point other than the short (determinant) time we had with Lee and another certain leader. This could bring up many challenges to the already challenging zombie apocalypse. How can we pull our weight if we're missing a hand or a leg? How can we lead a group when we're already one the weaker members? How can we keep everyone from considering us "dead weight"? The issue of appearing weak to enemies could be brought up also, as it was in Game of Thrones. What do you think? Will Telltale take this bold turn? Or would it be too much of an annoyance?

Oh yeah, that plot point they threw out with Reggie, Sarita, and technically Arvo. I guess it'd be okay, but who knows what they have planned.
