I wish there were more survivors that carried over from season to season

I can see why most of the cast was killed off during season one, they weren't sure how well it would sell, it would be nice to expand on character development and how they relate to each other over more time. What do you all think?

    The thing that made me interested in the TV series were seeing how well the different characters survived and how they developed together. I fell out of season 3 or 4, can't remember now when it's just Rick, Daryl, Carl and that lady whose daughter became a walker that's left.

    The TV show had better pacing with their characters stories and when they died, Telltale has a horrible history with its characters survivability, especially since it's part time role-playing game where being "determinant" in prior seasons has always meant "delayed death."

    Off the top of my head I can only remember Sam in the inconsequential Michonne mini-series so far that hasn't just fallen over after the player choice.
