[SPOILERS]S3 is a disappointment!
Let me just say that i love all things related to "The Walking Dead". I read the comics watch the show, and webseries and i play Telltale´s The Walking Dead too, and i love it,i fucking love it. It has great lore and great characters as we all know. As you may know you end S2 with one of 5 or 6 different endings, and let me say that they are completely different between them! Now i started playing The Walking Dead S3 with my hype and joy tears because of the long wait. We start right off with Javier and i became a little worried because all i wanted was to see Clem and Kenny again because he is my favourite character( and i couldnt care less if you hate him or not). Oh and i got to see him...
I GOT TO SEE HIM IN A FUCKING FLASHBACK WHERE HE FUCKING DIES! Let me just that from this momment i was so angry, i couldnt believe that Telltale,AGAIN, just erased all those hours of gaming in S2 and completely erased all those fucking endings! This is not how you make a story-driven game!
Both Jane and Kenny die in flashbacks and both deathc scenes are just the, lazy, full of plot-holes, infuriating and just the fucking worst! How could they do that to us? How oculd they not give a single fuck about all the fans that either like Kenny or Jane? You should be ashamed for making shit like this!
Kenny... the most badass of all people, the man that survied being stuck woth walkers in an appartment and a fucking horde by himself dies in a car accident and eaten by 3 or 4 walkers. These scene is so fucking terrible that i cant even describe it in a whole to you. When i saw it for the first time i even started yelling at my computer for fucks sake...Kenny wouldn´t let a couple of walkers bite him, he would´ve killed them all with his bare hands, and did Clem not saved him when he got AJ or why didn´t she killed the walkers herself?!
We got nothing. All of that just to erase a well written character,(either Kenny or Jane), so all our choices can dissapear and left forgotten.Telltale´s games are like a hopper, you start big with lots of options and paths but we all end up in the same fucking place! Just to save effort, time and money and completely ruinning 2 awesome and loved characters.
To conclude i just want to say that i will keep playing this game because i still love Clem and im starting to like Javier, but im afraid that introducing new and playable characters like these are just to erase the previous seasons so they can keep adding more content, and i dont like that. These flashbacks are just the worst and im ashamed that i got to see Kenny die in these awfull way(they did put any effort to make the deat scene even sentimental, you watch him get eaten by walkers just like if he was a background character) because what hapenned to him was not "what happens to everyone else", was a lazy excuse to erase all previous choices, Fuck this!
Thank you and greetings from Portugal

Kenny's death was fine.
We got a heartwarming scene with him beforehand. We had plans to get to Florida, to find another boat. You could just hear the hope and happiness in his voice. And he was also teaching Clementine to drive a manual, just like a real dad. It was absolutely sublime.
And then the crash, and the death. It was heartwrenching. It was unfair. It was completely horrible to play through, it was like watching a lifelong friend die. I wept.
It was emotional and I do feel closure from our talk before the accident. Team Kenny forever and ever.
I'm still trying to get past Javiers crap lol
We have thirty threads on this, you opinion is so special that you on the other have to make a new thread.
I understand that and i loved the first part of the flashback. What i dont like is the death scene as a plot point. I dont like it because to me it doesn´t make any sense. Kenny was just the best and i agree with you, it is unfair to watch him go like this.
But i still can´t say that his death was good because it feels so rushed and poorly made. To me Kenny death wasnt heroic and Kenny himself didnt got the closure that all fans wanted to.
PS: Thanks for showing me this reddit page, i love it!
Team Kenny forever and ever.
I dont get what you´re saying...
But it WAS heroic. Kenny defended the kids until the very end, despite his body having been completely broken. He couldn't feel his legs, he couldn't feel anything, but he still used the one thing he had (his VOICE) to bring the walkers away from AJ and allow Clementine to escape with him. He was a goddamned hero.... he knew it was over for him and he chose to bravely face his fate and allow the children to escape.
Maybe it wasn't perfect, but I did feel like I got closure with him. If you choose to thank him for teaching you to drive, he says that he always looked forward to teaching Duck and that Clementine was the best second chance that he could've asked for. They even had plans to return south to Florida and find another boat. Everything had come full circle; as it once was, so it shall be again.
You are most welcome! As the moderator, I fully welcome you and any other Kenny fans into our community. I hope you've taken some comfort in my words, and we hope to see you around the subreddit.
Kenny's physical body may be dead, but his spirit and legacy will forever remain in the hearts and minds of his steadfast followers and friends. RIP Kenny, you glorious bastard.
I have to agree with you after waiting for so long being a huge walking dead fan myself I felt quiet disappointed that the game play didn't even really address what's been going on. The fact that one flashback was created is quite annoying I feel as though there should have been more detail into what happend after... I spent so long replaying to make sure id chosen the right choices for season 2 but really it was all pointless. No matter what choice you chose it really didn't matter you still end up alone
Let me say that i love you! Thank you for showing me what Kenny really wanted, i can see what you´rw trying to say and i understand.
Kenny was a hero! He saved us all...
Haha, what? Kenny was in a car crash, he was crippled, he couldn't feel half his body. Kenny didn't have a choice in that situation, he knew he was dead and he couldn't kill several walkers with his bare hands if he couldn't use half his body. Why did Clem not save him? The fact that Kenny can't get up or move is a key factor, how is a 13 year old supposed to lift up some 40-50 year old man while also fighting off several walkers and carrying a baby?
I totally agree with you, just makes me feel that my choices just dont matter...
What i said was that Clem could´ve killed the walkers around Kenny, AJ wasnt in SERIOUS danger, i think she would´ve got time to save Kenny, i didnt said anything about carrying Kenny
What do you think would happen if she did kill the walkers?
Maybe Kenny would be dragged to the car and even if it would not, we would get a more emotional and sentimental goodbye.
Ehhhhhh...
It's a nice thought, but given the amount of walkers that were there, I don't think that would be possible. Sucks to say, but Kenny just wasn't getting out of that.
Wow I didn't expect so many fans to be disappointed. Critic reviews have been positive (from those I've seen) and so have YouTube let's plays (again from those I've watched).
I've be really been loving this season so far. As for the flashbacks, I suspected whoever you ended up with at the end of season 2 was going to die. I really think people are just overreacting.
Those people are casual fans who haven't been with the game since day one.
your missing the point... i dont mind them killing Kenny, in fact i when the new trailers for S3 started coming i started thinking that he would eventually die because he wasnt in trailers and photos but i would´ve liked more if they would´ve killed him in some sort of context... A car crash in a lonely and straight road seems kinda forced...
Well if it was a car crash with him driving then yeah but it was Clem who accidentally got him killed. That must haunt her ALOT so in my opinion it has depth.
Maybe, maybe not. I'm not a casual fan and I love season 3 so far.
But doesn´t that seem forced to you? "Well lets put Clem driving a car, so she can lose the control of the vehicle. In that way we can have Kenny lose the control of his leg and then we had some random spawning walkers to finish the job" Seems like Dartigan is going to have so much fun doing an EEW with this series...
And thats why it seems forced! They made that scene entirely impossible to escape. Did you noticed that Kenny too far away from the car? He landed on the other side of the road with the car facing the direction of the road. Thats how forced this scene was
So, what I'm coming across is that 10 minutes of flashbacks ruin 2 and half hours of really good story telling. A'ight.
The logic of TWD fans.
Just like how the final 10 minutes of Mass Effect 3 ruin over 75 hours of really good story telling
Nope. Not forced to me.
I didn't really mind the flashbacks, at this point I'm used to (determinant) being killed. What really did it for me was 2 and a half hours of completely disconnected story telling in the third game of a series.
It's still very short though and it's directed and written in a way that makes it feel sloppily put together.
It feels very rushed and undercooked much like Nick and Sarah given how there's not a lot of time to dwell on it before the story gets going in full speed and I'm not even a huge Kenny fan.
You build a character up to be more than he/she is and you kill this character off in a very short five minute contrived scenario that's played up as being very straightforward and lacking a great of gravitas compared to how this character was built and developed beforehand?
Bad and lazy writing .
I get what you're saying man, but he got launched out of it given the speed. I agree that it was rushed, but Clementine was in what, 3rd gear when the crash happened? How far he got launched was totally realistic in my book.
well... i tried
i was just thinking about that xD and seeing that noe Jesus is voice is the same as Garrus... maybe they are making a comparison xD
What an elitist attitude.
This does make me feel a bit better on Kenny's death. Thanks man.
The only point I don't like about the new game is just that, how bad they treated the Season 2 characters... The choices didn't matter.
Aside from that, the new game is great. I like Javier, and Clem totally rocks in this one!!! It's going to be a great game, yeah, but I hope Telltale Games could at least READ what the fans want, and give us the choice of have Kenny and Jane alive. We deserved that!
There were 5 different endings, they could have made that, for example, in Kenny's choice, one of the 2 choices got him killed, and the other one not.
Maybe even use the whole "car accident" stuff, give us the choice to save him, take him to shelter, make Clem have to go search for supplies ('cause he's hurt), and then get her separated from him.
Then, make ALL the story with Javier and the others and, in the end, if there's gonna be a "good ending", make him (or Jane if you choose her) appear.
I'm just daydreaming, but I would totally love an ending with what they have in mind for Clem and Javier, AJ, and the good ol' Kenny sitting on a chair, crippled, yeah, but watching how they grew up, like the father figure he deserved and was starting to be (In my gameplay). THAT would made the choices of Season 1 and 2 matter. And that will let Telltale "get rid" of one of the old characters to give space for the new ones, but letting us know that, in the end, our choices really mattered.
I was pissed off about Kenny's death, but BOY was I absolutely livid about Jane's. Even though I'm on team Kenny, I was disgusted by how they treated Jane's death. Why the fuck would she kill herself? Honestly! It seems so out of character. Giving herself an abortion somehow seemed more likely. Heck, even the way she killed herself didn't make sense. Why would she hang herself knowing Clementine would have to do it? Jane should have just left THEN killed herself - that would've made more sense. I don't know, I just hate how lazy it was. And just about 2-4 minutes for them (Kenny/Jane). Like even the farewell with Kenny was so damn rushed. Don't get me wrong, I liked the episodes, but I feel like they just didn't give a shit about the previous seasons. Like they shat all over Kenny & Jane. Jane who is a survivor, been through so much, fought through hell only to end her life because she was pregnant? Fuck I am so disgusted with that decision.
I've been playing TWDG since the start, and I'm loving the new season.
i´m liking it too! Im only complaining about the useless flashbacks
Im with you man
Thats what im saying! It all seems so forced and rushed! Its like "Yep they arew dead now, deal with it so we can go back to the new plot!"
Drag an adult man in jewel store? Easy, just give me a second.
Awww, Kenny you so heavy, i can't drag you into car! My super power lost!!
Yeah it's bad. What's the point of choices they don't ever carry over.
My clem I created all the choices I made are nothing like the one here.
Kenny/Jenny kinda like crista/omid pointless
Hope batman s2 has brand new bad guys I don't want all the progress on Harvey to be wasted and him be nothing like he was in s1
