Alright guys, let's talk about some good things.
Yes, what they did with out endings was not just a lazy cop out, but a practical middle finger to everyone who played Season 2. And while that really soured mine, and most of the people's, overall opinion on Episodes 1 and 2, we cannot deny that there were some great stuff in both of these episodes that should be acknowledged.
- Javier: what a great character he has been so far. Sure I would have liked to play as Clementine more, but Telltale have not only made him a really enjoyable character to play as, but an interesting character all around. He's a man trying to fix the wrongs of his past where he wasn't always there for his family, I can't wait to see how the rest of it unfolds.
- Graphics: while I don't have a problem with how Seasons 1 and 2 looked, I absolutely love the way Season 3/A New Frontier looks, it is a huge improvement.
- The characters are all pretty likable so far.
- There were some good twists and shocking moments I did not see coming (the ending to Episode 2 especially was a huge surprise).
- Clementine: again, I wish we were playing as her more, but even the times when we aren't, we're seeing just how much she has changed and grown from Season 2. She's much stronger, more capable, but also afraid to trust or be around people after everything that's happened. She's lost everyone close to her, she's afraid of getting close with anyone else out of fear of losing them, which is why she wants to be off on her own.
- Despite the way the endings were handled, I still thought the writing was pretty good for the most part, as was the direction.
With all the negativity going around, we need some positivity (can't believe I just said that, that is so not like me). So, what were some of things you liked about the 2 episode premiere.

imo Javier is the definition of cliche. The whole beginning scene with him screamed generic been there done that
I will agree it does start off a bit generic for my liking, but as the episode went on, and we saw more of his character, he definitely became more of his own character and less of a cliché.
I like Javier, he's a pretty cool guy. Yeah I agree we really really need some more Clem control, the story has been good so far, but I just feel like with Javi I am trying to be someone who he is not. I'm trying to be there for Clem almost be like a Lee 2.0, protect her no matter what and choose her over anyone. I've realised in cut scences Javi is more interested in his family than anyone else, which yeah of course make sense for him as a character, but for me to be suddenly put in his shoes and to try to choose his family over Clem just isn't possible for me. Yeah for him as a character to do this in scences where we aren't controlling him is obvious as he's only just met Clem, but we've known her for so long.
