David Garcia

So, we find out he's alive at the end of episode 2.

I'm sure he'll find out next episode that his daughter was killed for practically no reason by the New Frontier.

Do you think he'll end up killing the New Frontier member that shot his daughter dead, or let it go and realize it was a complete crappy situation all around?

  • I bet this is going to be some sort of cliche like "Oh, my family again, I missed you so much"
He is going to kill the guy that killed Mariana (Was the asshole from Ep 1 with the blue eyes right?)
He is going to force Gabe to be with him so he can make him "a man" and probably keep him away of Javier
Maybe Kate will pull a Lori and abandon us for him.

And then everything goes to hell.
Anyway, the fact that David is going to be the antagonist is pretty clear, specially since the pic of Ep 5 seems to be Javier taking control of the New Frontier.

David can go "You know I love you, right?!" all he wants. That dude was resentful and/or jealous from the beginning. Javi failing to protect his daughter, his influence over Gabe and the massive unresolved sexual tension between Javi and Kate will only make it worse.

That dude's gotta go to jelly school and since that's no possibility he will be one of the major antagonists for sure.

  • The situation reminds me a lot of the Brian, Philip and Penny situation in the books, when Philip blamed Brian for not being able to protect Penny.

David might kill the guy who actually shot Mariana, but he will also blame Javi, I'm sure of it.

  • Well, 3-4 years after the apocalypse, we don't know if David is the same jealous person he was before.

    Apocalypse changes some people.

  • It changes everyone, and almost everyone for the worse. I doubt the apocalypse would make an erratic and jealous person like David any more likeable.

  • I agree. I'm expecting David to have been "happy," for lack of a better word, running the New Frontier. Javi stumbling into his lap is going to be frustrating for everyone, but I'm interested.

  • Maybe, but I think he'll happy as hell to see Javi, Kate and his son.

  • The moment when you realize one of his men killed his daughter. Yeah probably not going to be nice.

Isn't that determinant? Or rather, potentially one-sided?

In my game Javier never reciprocated and has no interest romantically in Kate.

  • Best guess is that it will be our fault because we took her from him, which is why she died.

Atleast we hooked up with his wife tho

  • I think just on the fact that one of his men killed a kid will have him enraged, but the fact that the kid was his daughter will get him even more riled up.

  • I hope David doesn't blame Javier for Marianas death as he looked out for Mariana and Gabe so well and cared for them both so much!

  • He will, its going to be a big plot point, explaining to him that his men killed his daughter, but he will twist it so that it was our fault because we took her from him.

We skip to Episode 5 of the season...the finale. The New Frontier's fortress is engulfed in flames. After Javier and David's big battle, David lays there and groans in pain. His legs were crippled and he can no longer move.

Javier: "ARE YOU FUCKING HAPPY NOW, DAVID?! TRYING TO KILL YOUR OWN BROTHER?! WHAT KIND OF A MONSTER ARE YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

David: "FUCK YOU! Always having it easier than me..! Taking care of MY fucking family! What I said on the porch that day when dad died...meant every goddamned word! I'm jealous of you! You ALWAYS have it better than me! Even in this godforsaken world of shit! I hope you fucking CHOKE on it!" (Spits)

Javier: "It didn't have to be this way man...Jesus Christ."

David: "Oh, burn in hell! Any last words before you put your brother down?!"

Javier glares at his brother as slowly points his pistol at him, thanks to the injuries sustained in the battle. A look of sorrow morphs into one of hatred.

    "I FUCKED YOUR WIFE."

    (pow)

  • My Javier has tried to avoid Kate's flirting so hopefully David won't be too angry at him!

  • Dont be too surprised if it doesnt matter. Maybe there will be even a choice to move on Kate during the past, but just like Clem's flashback of joining or not, it will not matter at all.

  • I think it's gonna be bittersweet for him, obviously he'll be happy to see his loved ones again but at the same time Javi has been bangin Kate and his own squad killed his daughter so it's gonna be fuckin crazy

I also think he has AJ, maybe Clem tried to escape or steal or some shit and they told her to gtfo but they kept the baby
