Does anyone else feel the same way?

I more than understand why people are pissed off about the way the different endings played out, because they certainly do feel cheap, but I'm not really letting this ruin the season for me, whereas on here I see people saying that they're never touching another Telltale game, and this whole season is ruined for them, etc.

I like Javier and the whole family and their story, it is interesting to me. I like the new characters, and I do really like the older Clementine. I personally have honestly kind of enjoyed Clementine more as this side character in this season than as the playable character in Season 2, which I don't even hate as much as other people seem to on here.

I like the story they're telling so far this season with these characters and easily see it being better than Season 2, and I already like it more than Michonne (Season 1 still easily holds the prize for me though). I get the disappointment, yet at the same time I think people are overreacting a bit. Maybe it's just because I expected something like this ever since they said that A New Frontier would be open to newcomers as well as old players, but yeah.

Just my personal feelings and I'm curious to see if anyone else feels the same. No need for unnecessary rudeness.

  • I don't like Javier just because everything about him in Ties That Bind felt so cliche like some generic telenova special

  • That's how I feel pretty much. I'm trying to accept it for what it is and enjoy the story. I really like most of the new characters now unlike season 2 which took me a while to grow. I think Javier is a great protagonist and I think he and Clem will have some good moments together. To me this is kind of what I was hoping it'd be. I think we needed a change because season 2 could've easily been the ending to the series.

I refuse to let the shitty Jane and Kenny scene ruin the whole season for me. Because of his I actually am enjoying it.Before you smash your keyboard angrily saying how I shouldn't let Telltale off the hook, I do think fans have every right to be upset like they are. Hell, they pay for a game that claims choices matter more than anything. If they don't get that then it's technically false advertising and isn't what they thought they were spending their money on. Also, this isn't the first time telltale did this. Telltale never leaned from their many mistakes in the past.

  • I honestly didn't mind the endings, I was kinda expecting they would be addressed in a short but definitive way since I couldn't see the story deviating much based on an optional ending. The way they've handled everything else though, this isn't quite taking the story in a different direction, this is just flat out making a new game. You could take Clem out, and the difference would be negligible as far as that plot goes, you wouldn't even know this is the third entry in the series.

  • Javier is a typically stereotype guy if you ask me. Seen his kind of story 100 times before. If it wasn't for Clem I would don't know if I would want to play any further.

  • I entirely agree. Clementine has been an interesting character so far, and I feel that she reflects the character I always saw her as, of course more wearied and grown-up, with her experiences continuing to mold her. I'm liking Javier quite a bit, and I see him as having much potential. I'm really enjoying the plot of looking after Javier's family, playing as someone who solely inserts themselves into Javier, and tries to remove all personal bias regarding Clementine. Speaking of Javier and Clementine, I am liking their relationship, and I can't wait to see more of their interactions.

I'm already finding other cast members to be interesting. I can see myself becoming attached within time. The only true negative to me was the way endings were handled. I didn't expect Kenny or Jane to live or have a large impact on the Season, although I am extremely disappointed by the way they were handled. Their deaths could have been worse, and there were some silver linings, but overall, it could have been a lot better. Still, I'm going to try to not allow one scene to ruin the entire experience.

There's a lot of good in this series. The cast seems like it could become pretty strong, and the family plot with Javier adds a lot of tension and emotion. There were some tough decisions too. I'll just have to see where this takes us.

  • Tbh I'm loving it so far
