The weight of choices for a New Frontier and also the people who died.
I just wanted to start off by saying I that I think that this season is ok. But a few problems regarding some of the choices. Let me start off with what is my opinion the worst choice in ep 2. The choice where Clem is asked to join a New Frontier. I had Clementine say no. Then after that she tells Havier that she joined the New Frontier. Like seriously? Telltale did the same thing in Batman where if you had Batman not hit the Children of Arkham member (the one who was hanging upside down), Alfred will say the same thing which was "you beat that man half to death." This choice of Clementine not joining the New Frontier would have prevented Conrad from not capturing Clementine. Also the 5 endings will only give you a 5 minute cutscene without changing the plot. There are 42 starting points but it doesn't feel that way. It feels like Telltale is making a straight linear path in a New Frontier rather then setting out branching possibilities. What do you guys think about the choices for this season? For me I think the choices do improve each season but while choices are improving the story gets less interesting.
Now the people dying is starting to make me change my thoughts on all 3 seasons. It seems more pointless after each episode. Especially with characters who had good potential like Mariana (I felt like her death was a copy and paste from Michonne where Sam's dad dies). Like what's the point of moving on when you're gonna kill off everyone? It feels more pointless then Game of Thrones, because no matter what happens everyone will die and no one will be left alive excluding a few important characters. Kenny and Jane were killed off way to quickly for that matter ( I did not like how their deaths were handled and I think they died in a stupid way). So my second question is do you think that Telltale should keep the pace they have of killing off people (including npcs)?
I have to say after typing this I did get a little disappointed.
