if your pissed that Kenny or Jane die then go back to season 2 and make the changes needed for their fates to be open ended. As far as my play thru goes Kenny is possibly out there, we wont see him ever again but nothing is confirmed.
Telltale gave you the choices.

They've shown us multiple times that our choices ultimately don't make a huge difference. Everything we do "tailors" the story, not changes it. They still have a tale to tell, and they're going to tell it in a way that follows the script. Especially with The Walking Dead, we shouldn't assume any kind of leniency that Kirkman himself doesn't ask for. If something is left open-ended, it's because he/the Telltale writers either want it to come back down the line, or don't think it's worth bringing up in a big way.
Besides, you saying "if you didn't like X event, go back and make Y decisions" doesn't fix the problem, or help those of us with S2 endings that now mean next to nothing. What you're suggesting is that we all go back and play a very specific way just to feel like we got a satisfying beginning to the season, and that's just not how it works. We made our choices, and left it up to Telltale to explain it in a way that made sense, or felt meaningful. But the way that Kenny or Jane goes out isn't satisfying; it isn't even meaningful. It just happens, and we're left with exactly where Clem would be if everyone had died or been left behind anyways.
Sure, Telltale could bring at least Kenny back, but they won't. Given the situation they left him in, I see no reason to believe that he's coming back. Jane obviously won't. And ultimately, the story for S3 isn't about them and how they interact with Clem. This season is about the aftermath of their involvement with Clem, and her interactions with a new face. It's just disappointing that Telltale couldn't come up with a better written way of making Clem alone from when we last saw her.
