TWD Show Violence AND What It Has To Do With The Game

So, for those of you that also watch the show and saw this last season's opener... Answer whichever is applicable:

1.) If you vowed not to watch the show after what happened, will you still play the games or cut off support of TWD entirely?
2.) Did you think what happened to the characters on the show was too much? Yes or no?

My personal response:
1.) I'm still going to play the games, even if I'm not watching the show anymore. I view them separately.
2.) I thought it was way too violent. The show has always been violent, but not to the point where they turn a character we've been with since season one into a slushie. There's a line and in my opinion, they crossed it. I get it, the point is that it's supposed to be terrifying, but I'd rather sit back and watch Bob's Burgers than commit myself to that kind of torture and violence, thank you very much.

    1. Still watch the show and play the Tellgame, but both are hurting because of who they killed off in my eyes. I try not to make vows.
    2. Yes, it was too much, but it's not the first time. When the violence is too realistically graphic, I avert my eyes. What bothers me a lot more is who they killed off. Like any show, comic, game series, kill the wrong character and the whole is lesser for it. That's already happened a couple of times on the show for me. Makes me care about it less when the wrong ones go. There's only two shows I've quit watching because of violence/subject matter. TWD hasn't quite crossed that line for me yet.
