Hopes for A New Frontier

What are you hoping for in the rest of A New Frontier?

My hopes are:

  • Longer episodes - Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't we paying the same price for shorter episodes? If episode 3, 4 and 5 are all an hour each I'm going to be really disappointed.

  • More Clementine - I'm really enjoying Javier and his family but we've only played as Clementine twice for an overall rough total of 10 minutes in 2 episodes. I'd like it if one of the future episodes focuses on playing as Clementine more than Javier.

Comments

  • A sex scene between Javier and Kate, if they did it with Batman, they can with TWD.
All that talk about boners was just foreshadowing

  • I agree with you they need longer episodes like about an hour and a half episodes and more clementine because I want to know what happens with my choices after season 2

  • Longer and more polished episodes. Episode 1 ran fine but Episode 2 was nearly unplayable in 2-3 scenes.

  • I hope for your sake that will come true but i don't have much confidence

    1. Telltale has been doing shorter episodes for a while now, and my opinion is because they're doing numerous games at a time and trying to release episodes a lot quicker, they're cutting the length of the episodes. Remember when season 1 released episodes? They came out every 2 months except for the last episode which was the shortest of them all and that was the only game they were working on.

    2. I hate to be a sour grape, but i have a feeling when they said we will play as 2 characters, what they meant was, Clementine will only be played through in the flashbacks, hey, i may be wrong but i feel they're sticking with Javier being the main character as this is a new season with a new plot and a new player character.

Im just hoping that they don't kill off characters in stupid cheap ways and that our choices actually matter i know i go back to season 1 but if you didnt side with some i.e Kenny or Lily, it would impact the relationship with them, they need to do that here say if you choose to go with Conrads plan, Clementine should feel angry at you instead of nice.

  • Hopes that my damn choices matter.

At this point I'm just mashing buttons because it's not like it'll matter in the end anyways amiright.

    1. Agree on the longer episodes. We only have 3 episodes left, which could mean 3 more hours of game!
    2. For David not to blame Javier for Mariana's death. I can already see this one coming a mile off.
    3. No more meaningless deaths. Tired off Telltale's shock value shtick.
    4. More developement between characters. Everything feels so rushed right now, we need atleast an episode without some action to slow down and actually connect to these characters.
    5. Monthly episodes.
  • I hope the rest of the episodes are longer because I just can't get enough!

  • I hope that their game will perform more smoothly. Better lip sync, no lag during huge QTE moments, and stop this weird black texture pop ins that keep happening, especially during screen transistions. But I doubt that will ever happen.

Hopefully Clementine won't be evil in her upcoming flashacks and going foward into the story. But I think the writers just wanna keep her being edgy and it's killing my spirit.

Yes! I'd like to see more character and relationship development as well. I feel like Clem has only really interacted with Javier for the most part on-screen.

  • Longer episode lengths, and actual moments where we can get to know the characters. I'm incredibly disappointed, although after season 2 I suppose I shouldn't be. They don't seem to listen to anyone but playtesters that don't play games.
