This has potential to be extremely entertaining, or/and a hindrance to Clem. Just went through episode 1 again in an attempt to try and let Javier have a chance after being disappointed with the shake up. The first thing I thought about when Gabe got out of the tractor and said "I was sc-scareded" before wiping a tear away was LOL, Clems right there bro. Shit, Mari handled it better.
If they're lazy, yes, if they improve their writing, they could get her to disapear, to leve with someone else ( Like her real mother/fathre ), to be in a different community, etc.
Personally, Gabe reminds me more of Kenny, Nick, and/or Sarah then Ben. His motivation seems to be not being prepared to help/fight for his sister, pushing him to personally accept the responsibility of helping out when trouble arises and he hasn't really done anything that problematic yet, though him pulling a gun on Conrad did get me a little nervous.

So did I, I really didn't like Gabe right off the bat and just didn't want him to be there and was saddened when Mariana died instead of Gabe

I liked him, he is sort of a Carl-Ben, but I did like Mariana way more
